We called into Peak Village to pick up a few things so decided to call into Peak Village Caffe Massarella for some lunch. My wife had been in previously for a coffee and said it looked ok. We both ordered a hot sandwich which came with a few chips. When I paid I thought it was a bit pricey, £25 (£24.70 to be precise) for two sandwiches and a soft drink so I expected something really good. We were bitterly disappointed. The hot sandwich wasn’t hot, I’d say lukewarm and the ham in mine was like the cheap, water thin ham you get in Aldi. It was really busy otherwise I would have taken it back and asked for a refund but we needed to be somewhere else. But that’s irrelevant, for £25 it should be decent quality ingredients. I can’t recommend it, my advice would be to nip over to Chatsworth Tea Room and get something there. It’s cheaper and far better quality.

Went here with my fiancé and great aunt and uncle. Sat by the window in the sun. Nice comfy seating and relaxed vibes. Nice interior to this cafe / restaurant; Looks as if it's been updating. Few seats outside that allow dogs. The Menu has breakfast, lunch, hot drinks and cakes. There is a smaller till and cake counter at the front and round the back is more cakes and the main menu dinner section. Some staff are friendly, others seem a bit miserable and don't use polite "would you like" they use "what do you want" "hot is over there not here" Also you have to take your drinks and cutlery to the table yourself. They do bring hot meals over though. Don't have to wait long to be served. Prices are average. Don't have to book a table. Toilets available

Brought my mother here for lunch on 17th March. Staff were lovely, especially lady on drinks and ice cream counter who kindly reserved a table for me once I explained my mum was heading there using a walker and was very slow moving. She needed to be sure she had a seat once she arrived. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced.

Came shopping and decided to bring our dog with us as advertised was all dog friendly. We came in to cafe massarella and sat by the door no signs anywhere as to say where you could sit with the dog but could see other people inside were sat with a dog too. Rudely asked by one of the staff after about 10 mins to move to another table as the area we were sat had "new seating'. We don't let our dog climb or sit on any furniture so were abit unsure why. We ended up having to move and squash inbetween two tables. After deliberating decided to leave as wasn't impressed with the chaotic service and rude attitude encountered. Perhaps you should make it clear where dogs are allowed to sit and not expect people to be psychic. Unfortunately we went elsewhere and spend our money and will tell friends not to eat...
