15 or more years ago when Cranbrook started to become serious -'they ' spoke of the country park - I was not convinced and have been proved completely wrong.
Cranbrook was not built on a flood plain and to date not a single house has been flooded, but bits of it do get wetter in the rainy season, this is what makes teh park so excellent. There are ponds, clumps of trees and bushes, blackberries, elderberries and sloes in abundance. There are lovely paths that go on for miles, dog walking areas, benches, bins, places to BBQ and fabulous views.

Read moreCountry Park is a bit strong it's more of a path around the back of the houses through grass with diesel trains running past from London and Exeter. If you happen to live in one of those house along the path you also hear people calling and shouting at their dogs, kids screaming and 'fun runs' every Saturday and Sunday morning at 9am, which if you work all week are a pain in the bum (especially if you sleep with a window open). Wouldn't recommend it for a walk, go down...

Unfortunately, the slightly snobbish comments of the locals is to call it Crimebrook. That’s not my experience, full of nice people trying to make a living.
Interestingly (to me) it has a DH system.
