A little gem of a 'museum' hidden away near Tattershall. This was the last event of this season with a 40s theme. Classic cars, dancing, stalls, little cafe, and, of course, the 'pumps'. Run and maintained by volunteers this is a fabulous place, well worth a visit, and most definitely needs supporting. There are public opening days as well as private tours (school groups, history societies etc). With an interesting history, knowledgeable volunteers, car park (no height barrier), cafe etc - no set admission, request for donations - well...

Well preserved and well kept historic pumping station. All the volunteers were super friendly and approachable plus had fantastic knowledge of the history and workings of the pump.

Brilliant little museum alongside to give a bit more history of the local area and how the area has evolved.

I can also recommend the little cafe as the tea and ginger cake...

Very Lincolnshire! Lindy Hop dancing on the grass, military vehicles display, vintage vehicles, refreshments with no charge just a donation (best Victoria sponge ever). Its a hidden gem if you like history and a sense of what we owe to the determination and muscles of an earlier generation! Big landscape, big skies and water all around: pumped and moved by diesel and genuine steam engines. Very friendly, helpful and relaxed volunteers.. and nice cake!

A great museum and good to hear and smell the steam engine as it's in operation. There's a small little exhibition as well that tells the story of the families that operates the pump and of how it all happens. Great to go and see.
