4 The Wkend — Local services in Great Britain

Ordered food in advance for our engagement party on the 5th September. My boyfriend contacted them half an hour after the food was due to arrive to ask what time it was coming. Half an hour later, after ringing various times, they replied saying they got the day wrong. The food got there over 2 hours after it was due - the food was delicious and can’t be faulted, but the service we have received since has been laughable. My boyfriend was told the manager would be in touch, to which we didn’t receive any communication. My boyfriend then contacted them and 5 days later he was told we would receive a £50 refund and asked for his bank details. A week later, he received absolutely nothing so he messaged again, and then again 4 days later and was ignored both times. Was then told the manager was away and would chase it up. After another few days of nothing, they responded saying it would be in his account ‘tomorrow’. That was the 24th of September. My boyfriend then tried contacting on Messenger on October 1st (as he was advised that the manager runs it by one of the staff) and again was told the payment was processed on 30th of September to which he again received nothing. Then a week later was told they would check as it should have been ‘done’ already. The refund still hasn’t been received and further messages have been ignored. My boyfriend has also called various times to which he’s been told that either the manager isn’t in or that they would ring him back and he absolutely has not. I tried ringing this evening and was told the manager would ring me back in 15 minutes. I rang again 40 minutes later and was told the manager is busy and they weren’t sure if they would ring me tonight or tomorrow. The person who answered seemed very dismissive. I don’t think I’m getting a call or a refund and at this point I feel I need to share my experience and advise against using them for the disgraceful customer experience. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Edit (based on response): The £50 was a gesture of good will that was only paid once this review was posted. You might want to take a look at the system as that admin error happened about 3 times. I didn’t ask my friends to ‘spam the business’, they have posted their reviews based on their own opinions of what happened. Unfortunately, my review is based on truth and I’m not trying to damage the livelihood of anyone, just posting our personal experience. If you don’t want negative reviews in future, maybe you should try making some improvements. The food was due to arrive at half 7 and arrived after 9; regardless the review was based on the experience since the night...

This place has went right downhill. Ordered food from here (a pound or 2 under £30’s worth) 2 nights ago to be throwing up and suffering with stomach pains still now this morning.

The burger was absolutely swimming with oil, oil was all you could taste. There was about 8 chips with the burger meal and they were all mushed up and broken as if they had been half eaten or messed about with. The macaroni cheese was absolutely disgusting, the sauce tasted funny and this went straight in the bin after the first mouthful. The toffee puddings tasted like burnt plastic and the custard was curdled, lumpy and tasted sour, again straight in the bin.

Don’t waste your money and spend your next 2 days on and off the toilet with stomach aches and sickness.

Wouldn’t be given free food from here! I’m pregnant as well which has worried me due to how I have been feeling after ordering from here.

The driver who delivered the food was laughable, stood down the road from my house for a good 5 minutes in the rain waiting for me to get ready and walk to this car even though he had clearly seen me and where I live.

Overall - rotten, clearly an unclean venue and careless service.

Such a shame as we were good customers at one point, for a long time, but as stated above I wouldn’t thank them for free food now, never...

So saw this place recommended by KylevFood on tiktok so had to give it a try. Ordered online and my hubby collected he said staff were very friendly. Food was lovely but my tacos were cold, despite the fact they were cold they were still really nice, loaded chips were lovely but there were too many for me didn’t realise they were going to be so massive so couldn’t eat most of them but were really nice and very cheesy. I got the cheesy loaded fries and added bolognese, chilli flakes and onions which was absolutely lovely and really enjoyed them. Hubby said his burger was great although he got chips instead of wedges but he said they were nice anyways so not a massive problem. Would definitely return as despite a few minor issues on the whole the food was fantastic, staff were friendly and had a great experience trying a new food...
