Country Butchers — Local services in Great Britain

Went on Saturday and brought a leg of lamb first time purchasing from them it cost £37 but we had it as a treat as family coming round. I cooked it on low for a few hours as I usually do and it normally falls off the bone and is delicious. However this leg was tough and Tasteless and we could barely slice it and it ended up in the bin, and we ere very disappoint and hungry. I sent and email Sunday evening to advise of this asking for a response which I did receive but was basically told it’s their best seller and never had a complaint before and that’s it. I am so glad this friendly butchers has relocated to the best local garden centre, Henry Street (I say best because they look after their plants so well and their staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and their café is second to none!).

The butchers' meat is attractively displayed and expertly prepared, and has never disappointed. We have just enjoyed a pair of succulent roast Barnsley lamb chops - fabulous. (Sorry, no photos - to desperate to eat them!)
