5-Star Review of Foxlake Adventures near Dunbar
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We recently spent a fantastic day at Foxlake Adventures, and it was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a vibrant atmosphere that set the stage for an action-packed day.
Aqua Park: The highlight of our visit was definitely the Aqua Park! The inflatable obstacles were a huge hit with everyone in our group. It was a perfect mix of challenge and fun—climbing, bouncing, and splashing around on the water made for endless laughter. The staff was super friendly and ensured safety while keeping the energy high. It was great to see all ages enjoying the water, and the views of the lake added to the overall experience.
Wakeboarding and Aerial Adventure: After an exhilarating time at the Aqua Park, we settled down to watch the wakeboarding. The talent on display was impressive! It was so exciting to cheer on the riders as they performed amazing tricks. The atmosphere was lively, and we loved the camaraderie among the spectators and participants alike.
For those looking for a bit of adventure themselves, the aerial adventure course looked like a blast! We didn’t try it this time, but it’s definitely on our list for our next visit.
Snacks and Treats: To fuel our fun, we indulged in some of the delicious snacks available on-site. From freshly made cakes to scrumptious ice creams, there was something for everyone. The picnic area was perfect for relaxing between activities, and we loved having a chance to refuel with tasty treats while enjoying the stunning views.
Overall Experience: Foxlake Adventures provided an unforgettable day filled with laughter, excitement, and great memories. The combination of the Aqua Park, wakeboarding, and delicious snacks created a perfect outing for our family. The friendly staff and vibrant atmosphere made us feel right at home.
We left with huge smiles and already planning our return visit! If you’re looking for an adventure-packed day near Dunbar, Foxlake Adventures is an absolute must!...
Read moreGenuinely can't fault, a great family friendly facility. Highly recommend.
I purchased the inflatable course for myself and 12-year old. The session was well run and we had a blast.
Will def be back to try the other activities. Got my eye on trying the wake boarding, looked great.
Added info: On arrival we parked in one of 3 carparks. Took only a couple of mins to walk to the reception which is in-between the lakes at the back.
From here we were sent to the wetsuit hut, sized up and given a wetsuit. There is both a male and female changing room to go put this on. Inside there are some cubicles with doors but it is mainly curtains. Worth noting when I was there there were other dads with daughters in male changing room so don't worry about that.
We then picked up our life vest and headed to the lake. Very short 1 min walk on a flat concrete path.
My wife was with us, so she took bags and sat right at the lakes edge. If on own, might be worth bringing a padlock, or there were shelves lakeside that would prob be okay.
We were given a safety briefing before session and then it's play time. Our session was pretty full, but it was still fun and we were able to do everything and have space when needed.
Lake was clean, staff great and we just loved it.
After. Was easy enough to get back into clothes, and even a couple of outdoor showers if you want a rinse off. Wetsuits and lifejackets just get dumped into a large container.
It was easy to watch everything going on. So brilliant for people not taking part. There was a cafe, but we never tried it....
Read moreWe only called in to have a quick go on the disc golf course. The place looks great though. Loads of outdoor activities like a zip line centre and watersports and a go ape type of thing. The disc golf area was good fun. Not the easiest course for complete amateurs like myself and the wife though. It's in a wooded area so there are loads of trees to navigate around. It's easy enough to find the tees and baskets though as you will be provided with a map. We had a bit of difficulty finding where to go initially, though this could be due to my ridiculous sense of direction. We called the number on the website and met Seamus, who was very helpful and sorted us out with our green fees and discs and helpful advice. After a few hours of throwing frisbees at trees and trying to find frisbees in the rough brambles and other sharp pointy plants we headed back to Sheffield with a smile on our faces and cuts on our legs, great fun though. Well...
