Kia May is an absolute gem of a human being, and anyone who has met her at the bowling alley knows it instantly. Her warm smile and friendly demeanor create an atmosphere of comfort and fun, making everyone feel right at home, whether they're seasoned bowlers or complete beginners. Kia doesn’t just work at the bowling alley; she brings it to life. She’s the kind of person who remembers your name, your favorite ball, and even that quirky way you celebrate a strike. Her energy is infectious, and she has this knack for making even the most stressful moments feel manageable. If the lanes are buzzing with activity and something goes wrong—say, a pinsetter jams or someone spills a drink—Kia is the first one there, handling it all with grace, efficiency, and a touch of humor that puts everyone at ease. But what really sets Kia apart is her genuine love for people. She’s always up for a chat, ready with words of encouragement or a quick joke to lighten the mood. Kids adore her because she’s patient and kind, and she has this magical ability to make them feel like superstars, even if they’re rolling gutter balls. For adults, she’s a steady presence, whether she’s helping them fine-tune their technique or just being a listening ear after a tough day. And let's not forget her coworkers—ask any of them, and they’ll tell you Kia is the heart and soul of the team. She’s supportive, hardworking, and always willing to go the extra mile, whether it’s covering a shift, brainstorming new event ideas, or simply bringing in homemade treats to share. Kia’s passion for her job and her genuine care for everyone she encounters make her more than just a staff member; she’s a cornerstone of the bowling alley experience. Anyone who crosses paths with Kia leaves feeling a little brighter, a little happier, and a whole lot...
Read moreParking here is SO stressful - sign says "large parking at rear", please be aware it is NOT a large parking area, it is incredibly cramped and tiny, try and park at front if possible because any car larger than a tiny hatchback will struggle to manouveur out back. Attended with a party yesterday. Very, very busy and the poor staff were soooo understaffed, for hours, not their fault. The party food was unfortunately dropped on the floor by the staff so it took even longer to come out but they were very apologetic, offered my friend some comp, and they did their best despite trying circumstances. There was a (very) bearded chap trying to run the front desk all by himself, he remained utterly polite despite being understaffed, never made us feel like we were a nuisance for asking for help, he is a credit to you. All staff though obviously under huge pressure were very polite and calm. 5 stars for the staff, but 3 stars for the teeny tiny parking spaces, lack of staff (not the staffs fault, that's on management), and the fact there didn't seem to be much organisation by the company for parties. Bearded chap, you were great! You deserve a medal for staying calm...
Read moreMade to feel as though we weren't welcome. Arrived for our booked games. Before we could get to the desk a lady , assuming the manager , snapped at us asking if we'd booked. We said we had , she then shouted to a group that had come in behind us " well have you booked?" . We were ushered over to the desk to book in. We'd booked the games with a drink. We were informed we needed to be quick as they had kept the bar open because we'd booked the drinks. Made is feel like we had put them out. Drinks pretty much slammed down on the bar whilst sighing really loudly . Tried not to make anything of it and went to our lane. Floor was dirty and a drink was spilled. Other group was also placed right next to us. Assuming to make it easy to pack up. We sat to finish our drinks at the lane as the lights had all been turned off elsewhere and we were asked to leave as they were closing. Google said it was open for another 40 minutes. We took our drinks and finished them outside. So rude! This used to be such a busy place on a weekend. Was just us and one other group. I don't think we will be returning due to the staff . Much nicer...
