I use this place for badminton unfortunately it is very badly run.
Firstly, the sports hall is regularly closed for entertainment events, I understand they do this to make more money however it is a shame that the centre loses its primary purpose as a sports and leisure facility. I wouldn't mind so much if only they told us that it would be closed. It is not difficult for the staff on the desk to tell regulars when they pay in if there's a date coming up with a closure. Even easier, just print out a list of dates and stick it on the wall.
Secondly, when the changing rooms were refurbished the water fountain was removed. Now we have to go into the gym to fill up and the water is horrible and warm. A nearby and refreshing water supply is an obvious and simple requirement in a sports facility in my opinion.
Thirdly, many of the badminton nets and posts look like they've been pulled from a skip. Some of the poles are bent. Even worse, some of the nets are not long enough to stretch the width of the court (I'm not sure how this is even possible) and have awful big kinks in the top. Also, almost every time I play here I have to take down the nets and put them up again because the poles haven't been aligned with the tram lines. In addition the lighting is very very bad, this is a more expensive fix so I can live with it but really the centre should invest in nets and poles which are fit for purpose and learn how to put them up.
This is the worst leisure centre that I visit, everywhere in Milton Keynes has better facilities. I only come here because I like the people I play with. There's no other reason to visit...

Read moreMyself and my friends are regularly book badminton courts here, Nowadays the staffs attitude towards the foreign users are getting really bad.
Last week we booked 2 hours of badminton courts on the newly upgraded fusion App. But when we get there to play, one of the staff came and said that you can only play half an hour as they have other booking. Then we said we have booked for 2 hours but he replied that he don't know anything if you want you can play for half an hour or you can go now. His reply was very rude and he didn't even apologised at all even it was happened due to their system fault. This sort of staffing attitude is not at all good for a firm like fusion. And we are really upset and looking for a better place.
The state of sports hall is really poor (lighting in the hall especially court 7 & 8 and metal divider between the badminton court and indoor football). It is getting worse by day by day even after their recent repair. Unfortunately I won't recommend this place to...
