Went here today with my family, 5 adults and 6 children. On arrival (arrived separately) we were told we couldn't consume our own food. I had brought a box of homemade cupcakes as a treat as I know the food here is extortionately priced and inedible, Fair enough. The entire time we were sat down we were being circled and monitored by staff who looked the exact opposite of FUN, iv honestly seen happier looking people in a morgue.
I went down to have a word with the manager as we were being deliberately made to feel uncomfortable. However I know realise that this behaviour was probably ordered from this particular manager in the first place. The manager was rude and condescending, and clearly had no idea what social distancing was, I had to actually make a very obvious step away from her!
While we were trying to enjoy our coffee, we heard 2 further announcements about consuming food on the premises. At this point, no one had had a bite of food, and we were starting to get a little irritated. Nearly an hour had past of us being circled by vultures. My daughter came back up after her bounce & sat down at the table and began eating a cupcake (she wasn't there at entry, and was jumping around so didn't know about the rules). At that point she was approached by a staff member and given a lengthy lecture over eating the cake, however this was not enough for the power hungry manager who arrived 2 minutes later to re-re-re- remind us! This was now 5 reminders over one accidental cupcake.
By this point this power hungry annoying manager was really starting to grind my gears, she was literally like a Jack Russell dog, that wouldnât go away
I said ok, we got the message, all 5 times! Can you now just go away and leave us alone! This very quickly escalated, she is clearly used to bossing around kids, however she was again right in our faces, even though she had said what she needed to say, she just couldnât leave it, she became like a dog with a bone!
As I went down the stairs her very young son started trying to square up to me and just like mummy, I could literally feel his breath through his mask! Iâm not going to insult him but he is clearly his mothers son. By now the manager had started screaming for the police to be called, even though we were all leaving.
Upon reading other peopleâs reviews, if this particular manager takes a dislike to you or your group it will definitely escalate because she canât seem to help herself! Itâs a shame because the equipment is fantastic, but it wasnât a happy atmosphere, the staff certainly didnât look happy, the food is abysmal, the drinks are overpriced and the manager is an unprofessional joke!
The police did come and speak to me and I was completely honest with them and they didnât so much as take a statement, this has happened in the past with other customerâs where the manager has ended up calling the police. If you read all the reviews everything seems to surround this...
Read moreI wouldnât recommend visiting here if you are after a fun, relaxed family day out.
We visited during the coronavirus pandemic and have been following government guidelines unlike the manager!! She kept coming near me and my family, getting extremely close and in normal circumstances she would be too close for comfort but considering we should be distancing I was shocked. She seemed to take an instant disliking to my mum because my mum had to remind the manager of the current guidelines and asked her to remain at a safe distance and my mum took a big step back away from the manager.
The manager was enraged because I bought my one year old baby a packed lunch, he has multi life threatening allergies and I have never purchased anything from a restaurant or cafe due to fear of cross contamination. I always prepare and bring my babyâs food myself. Me and my family did purchase coffees and drinks which were extortionate prices. The manager sent staff to circle the table where I was feeding my baby and made an announcement over the tannoy saying no food from outside to be eaten here. I was very confused because as soon as I sat down with my sons lunch box, a member of staff told me no food from outside but once I explained it wasnât for me she said itâs ok to feed my baby.
The manager seems to be on a power trip and treats all her young staff very badly. I didnât notice one member of staff above the age of 25 because I donât think a grown man or women would tolerate how condescending and rude she is. The manager has no managerial skills and lacks good communication. Sheâs breaks the social distancing rules and is very sarcastic.
I personally felt very discriminated against because I have a baby with life threatening allergies and I donât have the luxury of purchasing his food in any establishment. I wouldnât recommend coming here if you need any allowances. The facilityâs themselves are ok but one boy was taken away in an ambulance during our visit which was distressing to see. I think under the right management with health and safety measures met this place could do well. Until then I will not be returning. Avoid...
Read moreA new favourite place to be!
I've just been for the first time with my little-one who is 1.5yrs. It's DEFINITELY not aimed at this age group and is far more designed for the 5+ yrs. However, I have to say my toddler did really well and actually really enjoyed the inflatable bounce area and the bigger kids were really great at avoiding collisions which was awesome. It was a fantastic 'next-step' for my toddler who is a comfortable walker and was intrigued by this new walking/running/bouncing surface and spent a huge amount of time falling over.
They have lots and lots of different inflatable sections to play with and some huge slides. It's really really hard work as an adult and I might switch out my gum membership for this. One go through the assault course and I was puffing. Phew! They have a very cool climbing wall as part of the inflatable area and ramps to "run up" similar to ninja warrior.
There is an ENORMOUS ball pit which has loads of balls in it and several platforms which kids can use to throw themselves in the balls. The ball pit is deep enough fir an adult to comfortably lose themselves under the balls. Comes to about knee high when you're wading through them.
They have a cafeteria upstairs with plenty of tables and chairs and a "pager" type system for your hot food which works well. There is also a soft play area up here for the under 5s which is a pretty good little area too.
There are sanitation points at the entrance for all the play areas with hand gel and most adults wear facemasks so it's as good as you're going to get, considering this place is pretty much all about colliding with things and climbing over/under/around things!
Ultimately, you get a lot of bang for your buck and I thought the experience...
