What an incredible disappointment. Arrived around 11am and looked in M&S and TK Max for the first hour, then we decided to have something to eat at the M&S cafe. After nearly an hour waiting for our food, we were approached by a member of staff who told us their Wifi had failed and they had to retake several orders. My food was warm and the cutlery was dirty (My wife tried three times to get replacements and gave up). Before we left we asked if we could get extended time in the car park, as we had lost time due to the cafe, and was told to "just move the car somewhere else". I asked in a couple of the other stores and no one knew who owned “their” car park, so I could not ask the owner/manager. By the time we got back to quickly looking through the rest of the shops there was little time left on the parking. Everyone lost out on today’s visit. We lost out on being able to spend time shopping, the shops lost out on our custom (With more time we would have spent more) and the cafe lost any chance of future visits. Several other visitors had the same problem. What a shambles, and...

This is a site which has lost its charm since it was redeveloped a few years ago. It used to have a fantastic food and butchers shop and another large shop selling a huge variety of gift and other things, an absolute gem for tourists and locals alike.

There is now a big Next, a mountain warhorse, boots a good sized M&S and other major highstreet retailers here. All of these are very good shops on their own right, and if that's what you are looking for its great, you can of course find the same just about anywhere in the UK so here is nothing in anyway special about this site anymore.

There is lots of parking although a space is still often hard to find. I notice they are now taking out several of the spaces for EV charging so it's only going to become more difficult.

In conclusion its still a good place to do a bit of shopping, and with fuel and fast food on the site its a handy stop but if you want anything with even the vaguest feel of local flavour your not going to find it...

A new MODERN SHOPPING AREA! Very enticing!, BEWARE!!!!!' My two daughters and my wife met up ther as a little celebration for one of my daughters birthday. After the recent problems with lock down and various other personal problems , this seemed the very thing forthe ladies to do, meet have a chat , have something to eat and shop!, and generally switch off for a while! They all had a brilliant time, my wife returned home saying how much she and the girls had enjoyed seeing one another and spending some time together! But.... now the BEWARE part, yesterday (11th nov) my eldest daughter received a lovely gift in the post , £100 fine for "overstaying "the 3 hour "LIMIT" !!!! I think this is VERY MEAN considering they were there spending money, and it isn't as though they could be using the car park to then go elsewhere!! Needless to say ,I will be advising my friends and family to be VERY WARY IF USING THIS SHOPPING AREA , SCROOGE IS ALIVE AND...
