Mounts Bay Distillery — Local services in Great Britain

Ordered from their website and bottle arrived a couple of days later, nicely presented in recyclable packaging. Loved the unique look of the bottle when I opened the package, and the story which linked to the Cornish coast! Thought I’d first try a small sip neat and was surprised to find that it was actually smooth enough to enjoy drinking that way. I always drink my whiskey neat on the rocks, but this was the first time I’d tasted a rum which could be enjoyed the same way. The taste was rich with honey and spicy notes. Also tried with coke as a mixer and found it a little sweet for my personal taste. Look forward to trying with bitter lemon. Will definitely buy again, and know a few lucky people who will be getting a bottle for Christmas 😜. Well done Mounts...

Cracking stuff! Very prompt delivery (came just a couple of days after I’d ordered) in a very well presented package which included a recyclable cardboard net to protect the bottle (which also is great to use as a hat if you’re a 5 year old as my son discovered). The artwork on the bottle is lovely, and gives you an impression of the depths of the rum. Smooth, warming, sweet and a bit of a spicy flavour, it’s easy to drink and stands well without a mixer. You can tell that Mounts Bay Distillery really care about their product....

This is a special drink. It’s got a beautiful blending of flavours which make it really smooth - I’ve tried it with ice but neat is my favourite.

The Cornish seaweed which is added leaves a slightly (very nice) salty finish which makes it very (dangerously?) moorish!

Would highly recommend to anyone who likes rum - and even to those who say they don’t: Gave my father-in-law (“I don’t drink rum”) a taste and he promptly bought three...
