Not very baby friendly and actually rather dangerous! - Took our 9 almost 10 month old baby here to play and explore in the baby section yesterday, the area is tiny compared to other places and does not have many toys or activities.
What ruined the whole experience though was no staff monitoring the baby section which has been mentioned on the reviews before - the bigger kids kept running and jumping over the foam entrance strip and running round the area which could of caused serious harm to any younger children, several times we had to shield our little girl from people who should not have been in there. Then later on in the session, some children decided to throw large toys from the older section into the baby area - luckily my wife was able to block it from hitting my little girls face but again no staff were keeping an eye on what was going on.
Yes I know it should be down to the parents to look after their children and make sure they are behaving - which lets be honest most parents are too lazy for that once they are sitting down chatting with their coffee. But for safety reasons and fairness if you have a smaller child section at least have a staff member monitoring this - at just kidding in hanley they have a huge gate which kids cannot open so only adults can let smaller children in which is a much better idea.
If your child is older then the facilities are good, clean and reasonably priced but after this experience I would not return, there is better places for small...
Read moreUnfortunately we had a very poor experience of this place. After reading a number of positive reviews online we thought we'd bring our 9 month old to explore as it says they had a section for toddlers and babies.
Firstly, the place is very expensive when compared to other locations we've been to and was freezing when we came in.
Secondly the so called section for the toddlers and babies was tiny and had no toys other than a couple of balls and soft squares. Adding to this, the section doesn't have any gates so older kids were constantly running in, stealing what little toys there were and nearly stepping on us while their lazy parents just sat on the side-lines, allowing their children to do whatever.
We were also told on arrival that apparently the sensory room [which was one of the main reasons of our visit] doesn't open on weekends yet we were still expected to pay full price for entry, which was ridiculous.
We left after 40 mins and won't be coming back. You probably would have a better experience if you children are over the age of 3 but for anything under that it's...
Read moreI have visited and recommended this softplay for years, since my children were babies and they were able to enjoy the sensory section of the soft play. We went to meet friends on a recent inset day and the play centre was deserted. My friends paid a much lower price than I did. When I questioned it with a member of staff, they said my children looked older. All the children were 6+. They realised they could quickly cash in and up the prices on the spot despite it being off-peak and advertised as off-peak on their website. We always spend lots more than the entry fee on lunch, drinks, sweets etc so it’s not like they would’ve suffered on a random Monday when they were absolutely dead anyway. Not visited since as I found it...
