Being going here for over 40 years, unfortunately my wife went for chips spare Ribs and chicken noodle soup.(06/09/2025) soup lovely, chips were yesterdays reheats hard and stinky, ribs were stone cold with very little sauce, this is not the firs time it has happened, but will be my last. On phoning up to complain I was informed they were to busy no apology, so the wife took it back for a refund, its getting dearer and the food is now disgusting, time to retire jimmy and find a decent chef, we get 3-4 Chinese a week on average, I hate the fact it was at one point my favourite. To sum up I will never be back, I ended up going to the chinese at the co-op absolutely beautiful and much cheaper, shame after all these years...

Last week I had a lovely chicken chow mien. Went back again last night (Monday 4th November) to pick up my chicken chow mien. When I phoned to order I asked if they could add a few more beansprouts, which they said they would. When I got home, the whole meal was drowned in soya sauce. No extra beansprouts….if there was I couldn’t see them for soya sauce. I would post a pic but I had already poured half the soya sauce down the sink. It’s not my usual Chinese take away (my usual doesn’t do thick noodles) I will give the Shat in one more try as I know it’s very popular……but if I get chicken chow mien….soup!!!!! I...

2 curries delivered last night. Beef and chicken. Order was taken quick and delivered within a half hr This will be my new go to for curry, haven't enjoyed a beef curry like that for over 20yrs. Packed full of flavour and spice. Very tasty . The beef was thicker cut, not just the wee cheap thin strips you normally chase around the plate, chicken diced and again cooked to perfection. The rice was sooo fluffy for fried rice....no grease. Marked diff in quality. I've used them all over the yrs. Clearly why this wee place gets its repeat customers. ...
