Springburn Chippy — Local services in Great Britain

Since it opened I have a quite a few fish suppers and they were all great but, two weeks ago the first in about four months and on a Saturday evening the wife wanted a fish supper the shop was empty and the staff spent the frying time talking to each other, anyway when my order was ready the server said goodbye and when I got home the batter on the fish was thick soggy and not edible the chips could have been better so really disappointed and it was interesting to read the reviews over the last few months with quite a few disappointed customers, I won't mention the bread and butter which was usually given with the supper perhaps they don't do that now, anyway the management should take a look and see what is going wrong with...

Well what can I say. I stopped off for a chippy lunch and I honestly can’t hype this place up enough. A little nugget of excellence in a wee place tucked away in Glasgow. From walking in to a lady holding the door for me as I left. The experience was very nice to see in this day and age. The lady at the checkout was very kind also. My order was chips. King Rib, Black Pudding and a Hamburger. All were cooked to perfection and took me back to my childhood when good food used to taste good. Wonderful experience. You are a credit to your locality of Springburn and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone passing through. Top place....

Defo recommend - it's a new place definitely worth your money.

I was only passing by to collect my chinese and the sight and smell caught my interest; then I saw calamari on the menu. What I got was lovingy seasoned salty rings of squid in a golden crispy batter. The calamari itself was delish too and wasn't "rubber-banding" like some I've had in the past. I also got a complimentary piece n' butter which was a nice little touch!
