Tesco St Rollox is one worst supermarkets I have ever endured !!! I have a son with Autism who asked a memeber of staff where the milk was . The member of staff ridicuked my sons speech and another member of staff joined in. my son ran out the store and i followed and took him home. This ie the kast time i will be in. i have been spoken to disgusttingly by staff in past , my daughter dragged over to me at age 8 by a security guard saying she used a lipstick which i said i would pay for (my daughter to this day gets upset an tells me she used the trial one !!!! and i believe her ) He was then abusive to me also and i got thrown out the store when i asked for a manager . A bicycle toppled from a high shelf they had put up few years back and hurt my babies head. they didnt care. A disabled man got his zimmer stuck on escalator and his wife an I grabbed him and held him bit were struggling. the same security man chatted with 2 other members of staff even though had seen us struggling and the woman crying. Another member of staff seen from quite a bit away whilst on shop floor and ran and helped. When he shouted at them at end of escalator " thanks boys " they happily shouted "no problem and laughed " Because i live near and my wee one is used to this store with his autism and doesnt like change is why i have grudgingly kept going back but after being ridiculed by members of staff i can happily say we wont be back !!!! worst store !!!! disgusting way treat customers !!!! oh and someone shoild tell management that a security man who grans children (and a child with a disability esp ) is against the law........ not throw the parent who was upset out the store !!! To the few decent members of staff which there are...
Read moreUsually great service, but alas, not today. Was at the self service till feeding in coins. Yes, there were a lot of them but there was no queue behind me. A supervisor suddenly appeared and told me that what I was doing was unacceptable and I should be using the coin exchange machine instead (which charges a fee). Embarrassed, I explained to her that I normally paid by card and had been reduced to the coins until payday on Friday. She wasn't interested. Left saying she hoped I had enough to cover my debt. Rude, unprofessional, and unnecessary. Young woman at the tills (she is always there on a Sunday morning) could not have been nicer and kinder after she had gone. I didn't know there was a limit on the amount of coins. My basket was just over 10 pounds and the machine was happily and greedily gobbling them up. I only did it because I was desperate and there was no queue. Please don't think this type of service is common in Tesco. I have been shopping there for years and they are nearly always lovely, helpful and professional (the young woman who helped me is an example of the excellent service you usually get).
27/4/2 Update: Made an official complaint about this woman (I'm assuming she was a manager, she didn't have the courtesy to introduce herself) a week ago. No response. That's fine. It certainly hasn't stopped me from shopping there. Rude, unprofessional and tactless; but you don't stop buying fruit just because of one...
Read moreAbsolutely appalling service - never made to feel worse shopping in my life and will never ever return. This white middle aged man worker at the self checkout shouted at me saying ‘I’M NOT BEING FUNNY BUT GONNA HURRY UP’ and just stared at me scan every item making me feel extremely uncomfortable. He was so rude, it was eye opening seeing how he treated other white customers with such kindness and me (a woman of colour) in such a horrible way. Then this woman came and joined him shouting at me in such a rude manner, it felt intimidating and like I was getting ganged up on. They wouldn’t even let me check if my yoghurts were vegetarian. Put so much stress and pressure on me and were huffing and puffing as I tried to scan my items. The way he told me to get out the store was awful, speaking to me like I can’t even speak English. I was born and grew up here, I could feel the racism in his voice and felt so disrespected. Seriously, rediscipline your employees and treat them with respect. If you see a customer struggling to scan items, offer them a helping hand instead of staring at them, making them extremely uncomfortable and huffing and puffing and shouting at them rudely. I am never returning here again, these workers totally...
