Tesco Extra — Local services in Great Britain

Original reason to access Tesco was collection of prescription, been concerned for last 6 months due, staff very slow, ignore people waiting although see and look at them, would rather talk and laugh with each other than serve, showed driving license and stated you’ve sms me 2 days ago saying it’s ready and asked after 10 mins to come back later because they can’t find and very busy at the moment but there was only me there. Service not to Tesco standard, moved from Lloyd’s Well’ rd, after they said GP hadn’t sent prescription so could I wait while they sort it. Sat for 30mins, wasn’t in any hurry and listened to a stream of complaints for slow service, lost prescription, incomplete for filling and non service, went home phoned GP, Lloyds phoned in 10 mins said sorry they had lost it. So after checking reviews moved to Tesco who were great for a while but are now not, especially don’t like standing in today’s environment, today only me there, waited 5 mins to be served but was spotted by who served me at start, handed print off confirmation of sms 3 days old, still took another 12mins to find, will be moving again to someone who delivers, can wait at home. Then went shopping, Tesco did great job with arrows and signs, all of which made sense and helped, pity 10% couldn’t get it, the system worked don’t know what else Tesco could do, people going down up then going round corner and up down. Worse was to follow, half way down isle a lady about 40, dressed all in black ( maybe correct) who had a very red face, started hacking over her trolly and other’s, at which point everyone scattered , why was she there?? If I catch vi I’ll know why, it’s my first trip out in three weeks and it won’t be...

I have been going to this Tesco's since I was born since this is the closest to my parents for groceries. The layout is ok, think it's remained the same over the years, just aisle contents have moved around- which I appreciate has to be done since some categories have grown so need more space.

As of late, over the past couple of months, I have been twice told off by a member of staff- the SAME lady... not sure if she has a personal vendetta against me or what (never seen her before prior to here). Whilst I can kind of appreciate where she is coming from... she appears to take health and safety to heart... like I had stepped over a very low barrier (so low i just lifted my foot over as if climbing a step, no sweat broken) since there was no que and would have taken me a LOT longer to weave around. She went ballistic!! It was so awkward- everyone was looking at me like I'd really crossed the line (no pun intended). I totally get it- but just say hey, mind the barrier next time incase you fall or something like that is fine... no need for the drama. I can't even be asked to go into the 2nd occasion which was also unnecessary...

Simply this ONE member of staff makes me feel so uncomfortable. Stay in line (aha) if you go here otherwise she might lash out at you too...if not then i'll know it's personal.

Am refraining from naming and shaming since I don't want to be responsible for her losing her job in these times but management ought to be aware that staff need training with regards to dealing with customers- there's appropriate and...

Have had SUCH a bad experience! .com manager no interest in customer service ( I speak as an ex customer service manager) total disarray as minus 1 driver so 29 0rders cancelled! Obviously they decided to cancel orders close to the store - but didn't check vulnerable list! Or delivery requests. Messaged to apologise and given alternative to turn up between 10 and 3.30pm but no details as to arrange this. noreply email! Imagine chaos? 29 people turning up saying "come to collect order?" At same time!! I rang online CS and very good. (Am 75, recent heart attack so can't do shopping) put back on vulnerable list and assured delivery pm. Told ring back 12.30 for update. Rang back CS said contacted store and .com manager at lunch would ring back 15 mins. 5+ hours later still waiting. Rang CS again. Told me .com manager gone home. No way was delivery going to happen today! Asked to be transfered to Store manager. Not possible. Was just asking for refund (to go to Morrisons tomorrow with daughter) door bell rings, TESCO ! 5 items incorrect, 1 inappropriate sub and 1 too short date 4 items not mine!! 1 complete chilled tray missing! Driver had to return to store to find it. Remains to be seen if the refund happens!! Been a loyal customer of Tesco Weston Faveĺl for 38 years, no more.
