Visited here for the first time and generally very happy with what we bought. Spent about £70. Really good coffee, really luscious cakes from Little Crumb, cracking bread, lemon possets, eggs, lovely veggies, milk and cheeses. Less happy with the store selling small quiche tarts which were dry and salty and rather horrified to read that Penny's steak pies have monosodium glutamate, disodium gyamylate and ammonia caramel in their ingredients! Yikes. Prices are rather on the high side too. We have no problem paying for quality ingredients, however for example we paid £2.69 for six eggs here, whereas we paid £1.70 for the equivalent free range eggs a few miles away. Does feel a...
