This was a tricky place to find. It's right next to an industrial site. The entrance we found to get into the woods, was next to a place called Scribble. The kids enjoyed the walk (aged 9 and 4) lots of bluebells to see. The 4th star is for the dotted rope swings hanging in the trees around the woods, even one that you can sit on. The kids enjoyed those the most, even the wife had a go. FYI there are a couple of narrow paths with stinging nettles either side so small kids beware! After speaking to the owner of the private part of the land, it might be wise to avoid at evening or night times to walk here, as this is the time a rare breed come out and can run riot.....yes that's right "teenagers" ( with nothing better to do 😂) No issues...
Read moreWhat a very pleasant area to walk our two Beagles, the woods are lovely and although close to and intermingled with the industrial estate, was still nice to walk round. I would have given 5 stars but as with a lot of these places the lack of dog waste bins are off-putting. I am like most considerate dog owners and alway clear up after my dogs, I do not like to have to take the poo back in my car on a hot day. However I still do, but unlike some that leave their dog waste either not cleared up or the bags discarded...
Read moreDefinitely recommend a walk in Blubell woods. We were told about this place by a neighbour and 1st visit today, will definitely be returning again. The bluebells are beautiful and seeing all the trees in their different stages of growth are worth a visit. We took our dog and it was noticeable that there was no doggie dirt or litter.
