Smaller version of coombe abbey, nice walks through different wooded areas. Acorns cafe at the entrance with outdoor benches, this is right in front of the kids play area which is fairly small and a few bits are made of metal so no good in the hot weather. 10 minute walk takes you to a picnic area but there's only a couple of tables so it's better off finding a shady tree which we did. First wooded area ideal for kids to explore and as we saw also good for tying hammocks onto the trees. If you park at the second car park further down the track it's right next to the picnic area. Very hard and rough terrain, we struggled with a very sturdy pushchair so definitely not small stroller friendly! Great for dog walks and we met many friendly pooches on our travels!

Great spot to enjoy the nature and woods, plenty of benches and sitting areas, walking dogs and having a nice day out.

Great place to walk your dog everyone is friendly and it's lovely to see dogs able to socialise, people respect the on lead factor and most will ask if it's ok before they allow thier dog to approach. The only fault I can say comes from people... There are bins located at each of the car parks, yet for some reason people seem to think its ok to pile up dog poo bags near the entrance to one of the wooden trails when there is a bin less then a 5 Min walk. So please just be responsible and take your rubbish with you. Other then this it's a very clean woodland walk.

Beautiful large open natural space with well managed woodland with ponds I've been visiting Burdage Common on and off for over 40yrs Great for families, walkers n dog walkers or just a quiet stroll on your own. Hinckley and surrounding areas have a true gem right on their doorstep Plenty of free parking in a choice of 3 car parks Modern (clean) play area for the children 2 cafes (1 modern accessable from Leicester Rd and 1 an old farm house accessable front Smithy lane in Burbage) I personally prefer the old farm house café but their menu is quite restricted compared to the larger modern cafe, however the prices are noticeably more expensive in the larger/modern café. Great day in nature and unlike most recreational...

Wonderful place. Much used and much loved by locals and those who travel here to enjoy it's beauty and natural state. The whole area is common land and it belongs to the people to enjoy so greedy property developers can't come along and destroy it. The flora and fauna is exceptional and the display at bluebell time in April into May is truly magical. Also good for birdwatching and well laid paths make the whole area easily accessible. Good free car parking is available and refreshment facilities are also in place. A lovely place to visit at anytime of year.Update 24.04.23 - still gobsmackingly amazing. Update 18.04.23 - lovely in the...
