Come with me to Titanic Spa🧖🏽‍♀️🤍 #spa #titanicspa #spaday #staycation #huddersfield

We have been to titanic spa before and had a very good time at a very reasonable price for a luxury spa break. Unfortunately a few things have changed for the worse. As always the spa facilities and treatments were good, they have always booked times for you rather than you choosing which bugs some people But worked for us. On the main the spa facilities were well kept and in good order and there plenty to go at. Though the relaxation room could do with some extra towels and swapping of covers etc, by mid afternoon all the beanbags and beds are damp and the room smells a bit strange. Our check in experience was fine, though lengthy and they could do with finding some way to speed that up as it’s not a great start to queue standing up for 25 minutes in a cold doorway. The 1st room we had wasn’t up to standard and had mould in the freezer, it had been turned off as had the heating, a shelf was falling apart and the bin broken. The rooms are a great layout and size and if they repaired these they would Be good value for money. The service really was the main issue here, upon raising this to the staff an awkward young member of staff said the heating was always turned off (in the boiler cupboard and freezers not in use). She then asked what we wanted to do about it e.g were we just raising it as feedback or did we want someone to come have a look? They said housekeeping wasn’t available so not sure what could be done. No apology offered by the initial members of staff and no alternative offered so we had to request a mould free room. Really this wasn’t hard it should have been “we’re so sorry, let me see what we can do about changing your room etc). We were moved after being asked not to check in again for another hour, getting into the room at 4.45pm finally. The new room was clean etc, had some minor fit and finish issues in the bathroom, a broken bin and loose shower head but at this point we didn’t want to change room again. The food was decent, our lunch and dinner were nice, the staff again lacking in service, very slow to seat and serve people and constantly missing peoples orders or requests, both tables next to us were complaining about being left with food going cold without cutlery and another after waiting a very long time for a glass of water. The staff again never offered any apology for any of it and kind of grunted around the place, sometimes laughing with eachother about certain customers that are complaining. Given the proximity to the hallway to the pool they need to be careful about this. Our food though was good, we weren’t missing anything just had to wait a long time to get seated and for food to arrive. We actually left before the 2nd desert arrived as we had finished the 1st one already and waited. To be clear we weren’t charged so maybe someone forgot about it, not sure. A final point of feedback, they have a thing you sign and signs everywhere about the spa being a quiet zone, but large gaggles of 40+ women cackling at the top of their lungs ruins it for everyone, no one enforced this meaning no one got that relaxing experience. My treatment was even interrupted by what sounded like a the group of people laughing and running around near the treatment rooms. This is easy to get right and helps everyone to relax more. Given the cost of the package it’s no longer great value like it used to be for a Luxury experience, if you’re happy with the spa mainly it’s not a bad deal but for our package cost of near £600 we have been to better offerings within an hours drive. It has great pottential and I hope they refurbish the rooms and improve service training in their quite young team.

Titanic Spa Disappointment: A Review of Missed Relaxation (March 12th-13th, 2024) My recent visit to Titanic Spa in the UK, intended as a relaxing retreat for myself and my partner's grieving family, fell far short of expectations. At a cost of £717 (roughly $915 USD) for a one-night stay with an upgrade, basic standards were simply not met. **Disillusioned from the Start** Our initial excitement about the two-bedroom apartment quickly vanished upon closer inspection. The rooms, initially pleasant, harbored a disturbing truth – filth. Cobwebs lingered in corners, and nail clippings littered the living area floor. Questionable stains marred the light grey couches, raising hygiene concerns. To our further dismay, the non-functional washing machine, an issue the staff supposedly knew about, remained unassigned to another room. **Mixed Messages and Managerial Mayhem** Our conversation regarding drinks included in the package turned sour. Despite assurances on the phone, upon arrival, a conflicting story emerged – drinks were not included. This inconsistency set the tone for our interactions with management. Multiple managers offered little in the way of resolution or compensation. Rebecca, the first manager we encountered, exemplified this lack of attentiveness. Even after presenting evidence of the unsanitary conditions, securing a resolution felt like pulling teeth. Finally, a body scrub and a bottle of prosecco were grudgingly offered. However, due to pre-booked services, claiming them became yet another hurdle. To compound our frustration, upon returning, a new manager, completely unaware of the situation, demanded a rehash of our grievances. Rebecca's failure to communicate with her colleague resulted in further delays and aggravation. **Beyond the Basics: A Cascade of Shortcomings** The subpar experience extended beyond the room and communication issues. * The Wi-Fi throughout the facility was sluggish and unreliable. * Extra charges lurked around every corner, from drinks and meals to basic spa add-ons. * By mid-morning, both the men's and women's changing rooms had run out of towels. The massage, a supposed highlight, turned into a low point. Instead of a relaxing experience, I received what felt like a hurried horse trot across my back – a far cry from a professional treatment. This massage was one of the worst massages I have ever gotten in my life. There were points where the young lady had her fingers galloping along my back , doing nothing but a slow gallop as if she was imitating a horse to an infant child during story time. **A Glimmer of Light: The Facial** Thankfully, there was one bright spot in this otherwise disappointing stay. The facial I received was exceptional. While I don't recall the therapist's name, her skill and attention to detail were truly impressive. Her work stands out as the sole aspect of the visit that lived up to the spa's supposed reputation. **A Missed Opportunity for Tranquility** Titanic Spa's exorbitant price tag promised an oasis of relaxation. Instead, it delivered a stressful experience riddled with cleanliness issues, communication breakdowns, and underwhelming service. For those seeking a genuine escape, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.

My fourth visit to the spa and although the spa itself is an enjoyable experience, unfortunately the service has never once been up to standard. There seems to be a lack of management as staff hang around the kitchen area chatting and laughing out loud. When you do speak to a member of staff they talk as if they are reading from a script. During lunch yesterday we noticed two of the staff whispering about the guests they just served lunch to, turning around to look at them and then proceeding to laugh and whisper. I can provide more specific details if interested. The reception staff never smile or make you feel welcome which makes me feel sad for them as they don't seem to enjoy working there. I asked on arrival if there were any treatment offers and was told no only to then see hours later that they had some last minute treatments available (on a board and later noticed them on a leaflet at reception) so I'm not sure why these weren't mentioned to me when I was clearly interested in having a treatment. The little things get missed. I visited in July and was supposed to receive drinks and canapes but these were not offered to us and I don't believe I should have to ask. We stayed over yesterday and the apartment was just not up to good standard. The dishwasher was filthy. The kettle filled with brown limescale. The drawer handles were dirty. The remotes need wiping and the light switches are outdated. They provide bar of soap in the bathroom but no soap dish. The shower is awful you have to stand super close to it and there is no handheld shower for rinsing the shower afterwards so I have no idea how the staff manage to clean the tub. The tv in the room can only be used for freeview or they have dvd's at reception which is a let down. The sheets did not smell fresh. The room lighting is terrible and one of the lights is hanging off and needs securing. They do provide an iron but the iron board is all metal with no cover. Our balcony had no seating or furniture whereas other balconies did. The corridor outside our room on the second floor absolutely stank of smoke and marijuana. Both evening and morning. This was mentioned to staff but I doubt they will do anything about it, or whether they even can? We did ask on arrival if we could have a room that faces the car park which the member of staff kindly sorted for us. Then my friend later on asked if the room could be higher up but we were told we should have requested that on arrival, which is fair enough but the staff could have gone the extra mile by asking us if we had a floor preference too at arrival as we clearly had a preference of the side it was on. It's the little things that make a huge difference and justify the high price point. This spa is not cheap which could fool people into thinking they will be getting a luxurious experience, which is sadly not the case.

As for the spa - the hot tub was better before it became a chargeable/bookable experience and I'm sure many would agree. The scents used in the heat and ice experience need improving, more specifically the crystal steam bath and aromatherapy room. They smell terrible and the scents/essential oils used should really be re-considered. Rudding Spa are known for their amazing scents so Titanic Spa should take a leaf out of their book. They also approach staff who are sat outside and ask if they would like drinks etc. Again, the little things. Whereas at Titanic Spa it can be very hard to get hold of a member of staff and I am convinced there are no managers out on the floor.

I emailed the spa a couple of days in advance to ask about a dietary requirement and was told one thing on the email but the complete opposite in the restaurant, which was dissapointing as I wasn't sure who or what to believe. It's not a huge deal but just adds to the inconsistencies.

There needs to be better management and team training when it comes to customer service and cleanliness. Unfortunately I can't see myself returning any time in the...

We were really looking forward to a relaxing day at Titanic Spa. We paid £200 per person and expected something premium, organised, and at the very least—relaxing. Instead, what we got felt chaotic, impersonal, and far from worth the price. Here’s how it went:

Arrival & Check-In We arrived during the check-in window (10:30–11:30am), and while our luggage was taken away promptly, we were told we couldn’t access our room until 2pm. That meant wandering around in robes for hours, with no real place to settle or unwind. Not exactly a great start to what’s supposed to be a calm, stress-free day.

Meal Scheduling – No Choice, Misleading Offer One of the most frustrating parts of the experience was how rigid everything was. We weren’t allowed to choose when to eat—lunch was set at 2:30pm (who even eats that late?) and dinner at 8:30pm. We asked if we could eat earlier, but were flatly told no. What made this worse is that while both lunch and dinner were technically included in our package, the majority of the actual menu came with extra supplement charges. So unless you were happy with the few free options, you were paying again on top of the £200 package. It felt misleading and cheap.

Food Quality – Disappointing and Not Worth the Upsell Unfortunately, the food didn’t make up for the rigid scheduling or hidden costs. Both meals were average at best, and the surcharge items were hardly gourmet. For the price and the “luxury spa” label, the food experience was one of the biggest letdowns.

Massage Booking – Zero Input We were also disappointed that we had no say in the timing of our treatments. Our massages were included in the package, but instead of being asked when we’d prefer them, we were simply assigned a 5pm slot. No discussion, no consideration. For a spa that markets itself as “luxury,” this felt lazy and impersonal.

Breakfast – Extremely Basic The “continental breakfast” was left in a small basket by the in-room kitchenette: one apple, two Weetabix sachets, and a couple of croissants. It felt more like something you’d find in a budget Airbnb than a spa charging £200 per person.

Facilities – Worn Down, Unclean, and Unhygienic This was probably the biggest disappointment. Many of the facilities felt old and unmaintained. We noticed visible fungus in several areas, including the pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. Even more concerning was the complete lack of hygiene protocol—members of staff walked through the spa area wearing trainers with no shoe coverings, and some of the maintenance staff were in visibly dirty uniforms. It gave the entire place a feeling of neglect and carelessness. Not what you’d expect—or accept—from any spa, let alone one positioning itself as “eco-luxury.”

Orientation – Rushed and Confusing When we arrived, a staff member gave us a very brief and rushed tour. We were left unsure about how to use the facilities, where to go, or what the day was meant to look like. The whole experience lacked warmth and guidance.

General Atmosphere – Disconnected and Unworthy of the Price Throughout the day, we kept speaking to other guests who felt the same way: frustrated, disappointed, and let down. None of them said they’d return—and neither will we. Titanic Spa relies heavily on its name and branding, but the reality is outdated, inflexible, and totally disconnected from the experience it promises.

Final Thoughts – Save Your Money, Your Time, and Your Expectations Titanic Spa has clearly built a reputation on marketing, not service. The quality doesn’t match the price tag, the facilities aren’t properly maintained, and the experience overall feels more like a conveyor belt than a sanctuary. Add to that misleading “inclusions” that come with extra charges, and it starts to feel like a cash grab wrapped in a bath towel.

There are far better spa options out there—cleaner, more welcoming, and far more worth your money. I wouldn’t recommend this...

We stayed 16/02/24 for our wedding anniversary. I was a little apprehensive as a friend had told me that the spa is looking very tired, but I went with an open mind. ||My husband booked the "Friday Night Offer" which included access to the spa from Friday 10.30 am until 10am on Saturday morning, a light lunch, a 1 hour couples treatment (we both had a facial), prosecco and chocolates after the treatment, a 2 course dinner and overnight stay in the apartments, with a continental breakfast basket in the morning. ||My first impressions of the spa upon arrival were good, it felt clean and modern. A young chap showed us around the various rooms which was helpful as we wouldn't have been able to find our way around otherwise. ||We got changed into our robes and set about the Heat & Ice rooms. The main spa area did feel a little tired, the tiling needs renewing in some areas, the plunge pool looked a little murky and the taps on the foot spas were loose. However there were plenty of rooms to try out. The saunas and steam rooms were quite powerful which was good. After that we tried out the Relaxation Room which we both enjoyed, it felt clean. If we'd had more time I probably would have fallen asleep. ||It was then time for our lunch which was included (not drinks). I wanted to try the chicken pasta but was unsure as it had mushrooms in. As it's only a small kitchen I wasn't convinced the meals would be made fresh and was expecting to be told that the dishes couldn't be altered but I was wrong, they made it without mushrooms from fresh and it was lovely. ||We then went for our 1 hour treatment which was in the VIP room with beds side by side. It wasn't just a facial it also included a chest, arm and hand massage, back and neck massage and also a scalp massage which was lovely.||We then had our glass of prosecco and chocolates which we took to the Relaxation Room to enjoy. ||Then we went off to find the swimming pool, there were a couple of loungers free. The pool was a lovely temperature. I found the sauna and steam room next to the pool better than the ones in the heat/ice rooms. ||The changing rooms weren't busy at all. We managed to get into the hot tub whilst it wasn't busy which was great, really enjoyed it and the jets were very powerful.||We went up to the room to get showered and dressed for dinner. The apartment itself was nice and clean, good to have a full kitchen. The bedroom area was lovely but I did feel that the bathroom looked tired and could do with updating. We felt quite hot whilst getting ready, the rooms are quite warm. ||The 2 course dinner was lovely, really enjoyed it. The food is a much better standard than I would have expected. ||We went back to our room, the bed was comfortable but just felt the room was a little hot. ||Next morning we went back downstairs at 8am to enjoy the spa whilst we had the opportunity. The heat/ice rooms were empty, we were the only people in there which was nice as it was fairly busy on the Friday afternoon. We also went back in the outdoor hot tub which was nice. ||There was a continental breakfast basket left in the room which had croissants, jam, cereal, yogurts, fresh milk and fresh orange in the fridge. ||All in all, for ÂŁ399 I don't think you can argue that it'd good value for money in the grand scheme. We live closer to Rudding Park and Grantley Hall, however they are in a completely different price bracket. ||We are not picky people and don't stay places to find faults but some obvious areas for improvement would be:||The heat/ ice area could do with updating/ retiling as it does look tired||The plunge pool looks like it could do with a deep clean||The taps on the foot spas were loose||The wifi in the apartment was terrible/non existent||The bathroom in the apartment needs updating ||Apart from that we had a nice stay and would recommend it as a good value for...
