On one of the platforms is a small museum dedicated to the Bluebell Railway and it's history. Located at Sheffield Park Railway Station - built for the staff of the nearby Sheffield Park estate to arrive and depart by train. The museum is located opposite the station, with entry free to passengers or via a platform ticket. It's worth noticing the tickets are checked on the train to see if those who have gotten a platform ticket have gotten onto the train without purchasing the train ticket. The station is open on days that not trains are running but it's worth checking in the off season if the station and museum are open before arriving. There is also plenty of parking at the entrance to the station, as short walk from the station itself and wheel chair access to the site, although staff control the crossing points from the platforms so wheel chair users can cross at the ends of the platforms. Also on site, there is a bar and café, along with the engine shed. As for the museum itself, there is a selection of models and displays detailing the history of the railway that is accessible to wheel chair users - although it cramped at busy times and at the end of the museum is a small signal box for demonstrations of how signalling works. On the same side of the platform the museum is located, there is also a small second hand shop with books, magazines and a few second hand railway models. There is a much better shop for second hand models located at Horsted Keynes. All in all the museum is worth a visit on a day out on the Bluebell railway.

The sheds and the museum, are all part of making this delightful station, such a great experience. Full of history and well displayed. So much to enjoy. Wonderful friendly staff. Great for the whole family. Easy access. All for a £3 platform ticket. Love it.
