Absolutely stunning hike, nothing technically challenging at all if you walk up via the middle via Nant Peris. Beautiful panoramic views most of the way up which opened up even more at around 600m up. At the end of the horse shoe, there were horses too hironically 😂 Stunning views of Snowdonia, including Crib Goch in all it's glory lol! Would highly recommend doing this and Y Garn as a round trip starting from Nant Peris... Would strongly recommend you avoid the route through the ferns myself and my brother took as we were soaked within 100m, straight out the gate last the camp site. Novis listening to the stick walkers... Enjoy

At 923m it's not the highest but still offers fabulous views across snowdonia. The summit is quite bouldery. The summit has a large summit cairn that works extremely well at blocking the often strong winds. It is a popular summit since its located just above Wales highest road.

We had a great walk on the mountain in snow, did the horseshoe walk and found it an enjoyable walk. Didn't expect the snow and although it made navigation difficult it made what some people call an ugly mountain beautiful.

This is an exeptionaly good 9km walk starting from Marchlyn reservoir to gain plenty of height with stunning views of snowdonia. I post most of my work as a local mounta leader leading groups in an upland environment to instagram...
