An amazing place with friendly, informative staff. Beautiful grounds with miles of walks through woods, full of wildlife - I saw my first Nuthatch here! The two large rooms in the mansion which are open to the public are very impressive and there is a collection of books to read if you just want to chill out for a while. The gardens looked good in Spring but Summer would be a better time to visit to see more colour. There is a sensory garden, designed to appeal to autistic children too. The Earl Grey tearoom (remember to ask why it is called that) is good value and serves delicious toasties among other treats.

A enjoyable walk around the grounds. The snowdrops were fantastic. The grounds were quite muddy in places due to the recent rain and not all paths were open due to the number of trees brought down by the recent storm. The tearoom was very good, prices were reasonable. We did have to queue for awhile to get in as they were busy. There is seating outside but the sun goes off that area quite early in March so it does get cool very quickly.

The hall and gardens are well worth a visit. The grounds are great for walking amongst the gardens and woods, spending a few hours in doing so. The grounds are quite big and you can spend time in the tranquilty of it. Entrance fee was £11. Tearooms and toilet facilities available.

Absolutely stunning. Hidden little gem. I took my 3 sons 22,17 & 16. They loved it. So much to explore (will be back ),we didn't get it all. The gardens are so tranquil. An the Hall itself is stunning, some very interesting reads! We had a lovely dinner break at the tea rooms. The ham & cheese toasties looked delicious & it was given a 10/10. The tuna sandwich was also given a 10/10. The home made chutney on my ham & cheese is divine. Reasonably priced. The full day cost £64.20 & we'll worth...
