Tesco Blakely Manchester Super store. A cashier ethnically from, either South Asia or Middle East was serving us where people usually buy lottery tickets or tobacco products. I was second inline waiting for the two Black-British students. One of the students basically was trying to get his card which he forgot in the store. The cashier was so unfriendly towards these guys. no politeness in his sentences and just asking questions in a rude manner. It felt as if these students were some sort of criminals. The cashier asked the student about his name, spelling of his name, surname, bank name, card type, the date he lost it and even his card number. Then he proceeded with asking for a passport to validate his id. Which the student replied he doesn't have a passport.
At this moment my patience is pretty much ran out. Not because of i was waiting there for 10 min for such a simple task to be complete but because of the way this guy was Racial profiling these students. I have forgotten my card before in super market but no one asked me for a passport or even any sort of id. So i jumped in and told him they they don't need passport to validate themselves. Which he kept insisting that this was Tesco policy and i had no right to intervene.
I left without buying what i need to because i was really angry. Just to clarify, he could have asked for another bank card or tesco club card, or a bill or anything else that could have been convenient. instead going for a passport... really!!! show me a single person who goes to a super market with a passport? (according to the security guard, the cashier's name starts with F. he might have relatively high position since he was wearing the blue jacket rather...
Read moreVictoria Ave Blackley Tesco is a tesco like any other in its capacity as a supermarket but the policies they hold on their car parking nobody seems to know or understand or care .Anyone can use the disabled parking and nobody cares, anybody can park in front of the main entrance and nobody cares, Taxis are allowed to queue up outside to wait for fayres all the while blocking entrance and exit and nobody cares , thousands of car park spaces and yet the front door is where they park totally ungoverned and making it difficult for the disabled and everyone else to get in and out. Management were told and revealed "not sure what the parking policy is" another said "we cant manage the parking facilities" and another said "what are we supposed to do about it" !? No taxi waiting area so the front door is blocked sometimes with a queue of cars that you cannot get the trolley through so you have to walk around them to the bottom of the path. Management are disgraceful customer service is unhelpful and security are absolutely useless.Dreadful place ,in future its...

You need to update your information as I wasn't the only one to turn up there was a few cars coming in behind, I called the store and a women answered saying she wasn't at the store she was just taking the calls and when I asked her why the store wasn't open she seemed shocked and said she would contact the manager, i waited for a few minutes to then be told they have decided that the store will shut at 10pm until further notice 🙄, the women even said if I had phoned and asked her the store closing times she would have told me it was 12am as she wasnt aware it was being closed at 10pm, so tesco you need to not only inform your customers of closing times it seems your staff have no idea...
