Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre — Local services in Metropolitan Borough of Solihull

Great place to do a quick shop or take your time good array for shops, clean tidy and nice seating area. I live locally so this is always my go to for shopping and easy access to Asda via escalter. There us the multi store car park that is free for up to 3 hours I believe and Asda big car park which again is free for upto 3 hours. Shops include Iceland, Select, Wilkos, Boots, New Look, Home Bargains to name a few definitely worth a visit if you just want a chilled few hours browsing for offers. Also has a Costa so you can enjoy a nice beverage to break up the browsing! KFC and McDonald's are also located on the outskirts of the centre. There is and indoor Market which I used to love as a kid (best chios around) but haven't been in there for a while so can't review unfortunately. Go...

Very 60s, 70s, looking shopping center, but it has a good selection of shops including a post office and there are public toilets. This shopping centre gives the area a beating heart where people come to shop and socialise in what would otherwise just be huge housing estate. Covid rules and social distancing in the indoor public areas were not adhered to by all the indoor vendors who had masks on their chins necks or fourheads but not on their nose and mouth! The public also seemed to struggle with the concept of mask wearing indoors or following arrow signs on the floors and entry and exit points. One of the best shopping centres around with plenty of bargain shops, well run with plenty of free parking. Would of been 5 stars had they put a roof over the rest area seating as it becomes unusable for several hours everytime it rains. Also it closes the toilets early at about 4.30pm which can be annoying. Also has great bus services. 2024 Update, its still the same and sadly still needs some cover over the seating and the toilets staying open a little later, still some great shops and well worth a visit.
