I summited this fell after Blencathra and Mungrisdale Common. I then continued onto Bannerdale Crags afterwards. The mountain itself looks lovely, though I can imagine that the grassy paths on it get very wet and muddy in wetter weather. There's a kind of wind shelter and cairn on the top. Great view from it too.

A lovely Wainwright which has views of the other peaks in the Blencatra group. There are a couple of routes up and can easily be combined with 4 other peaks to make an around 12 mile walk.

Amazing fell for the whole family to climb. Very good for beginners as it is not too difficult to climb to the very top but the views over bowscale, mosedale and mungrisdale are well worth it. There js also bowscale tarn which you can go to. It is a small lake nestled in the fell and I highly recommend visiting it. There aren’t too many people climbing this fell meaning that it is very peaceful to climb and you are not overwhelmed by other people also climbing. In all, I strongly recommend that you climb this...
