As a caravan owner and a loyal customer of Cranfield Bay for the past 13 years I was gobsmacked to receive an email giving me two hours notice of the removal of my caravan from its site. Now I have no reason to lie but it all stems from this lets screw families over coming up to Christmas for £300 which I might add I knew nothing about until I got a phone call looking payment. Now with three kids and Christmas coming I wouldn’t have a lot of spare cash around so it was impossible for me to just hand it over. Now I made a call and was given until mid Jan to pay half of it...which is now being denied....I really wish I had the proof. I had enquired about different alternatives ie selling my van to which I was told it’s worth nothing, well excuse me my caravan is worth money because I decided to put it online for sale to see if there was any interest to find out there was, apparently I should not have done this because that was the reason it was taken off, anyway I rang to see what was going on to be told you need to ring head office to stop removal...guess what no one would take my call... If anyone is thinking about buying a caravan I would not recommend any of Milne sites, look what happened me after 13 years, my 3 kids grew up here and loved it now threw out without a second thought oh and to top it off I was sent my invoice for the coming year stating I hadn’t paid my £300 but if i could pay it and the balance before 1st...
Read moreI have been in Cranfield bay for four years in a 10 foot caravan. Went to upgrade this year (march 2015) to a 12foot. After looking at a couple with the site manager they offered next to nothing for my own caravan and our site manager told me i had a lovely caravan why would i want to change. I decided to give my own caravan a facelift and put new windows (which our site manager gave me the number for) took out the old seating and put a corner sofa in ,ripped up all the carpets and wooden floored the whole way through.spending £4000.00.(may 2015). In july 2015 i had heard that all 10foot caravans were being put off the site by 2017. When i contacted my site manager he told me that was rubish that the other site manager was trying to get sales by telling his customers this to make them upgrade to 12foot caravans. A few weeks later my site manager came back and told me the rumour i heard was true and we have to upgrade or get off site by 2017. Even people who just bought their caravans this year. Because we have a yearly contract he can do this!!!! Reason for this all is to make the site look good .they used the an exampl of "people dont drive 20 or 30 year old cars " but they were happy to take tour money for them a few years back. To be honest there are older and worse looking 12 foot caravans on site. If anyone can help ring me on 07519432876. I dont mean to rant im just very upset and can not get help...
