🌟 A Heartfelt Tribute to Jenny at Ash End House Children's Farm 🌟
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Ash End House Children's Farm, coming all the way from Saudi Arabia, and I can’t help but sing praises for Jenny, the incredible farmer who makes this place truly special. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Jenny's passion for farming and caring for animals shines through in everything she does.
Her warm and welcoming demeanor instantly put us at ease, making us feel like part of the farm family. Jenny is not just knowledgeable about the animals; she has a special way of sharing that knowledge with both children and adults alike. Watching her interact with the animals was a joy—her gentle hands and kind words create a nurturing environment that reflects her deep love for each creature.
Jenny's dedication to educating young minds about animal care is truly inspiring. She encourages children to ask questions, explore, and connect with nature, fostering a sense of curiosity and respect for the environment.
The farm itself is a beautiful testament to her hard work and commitment. Every corner is filled with vibrant life, and you can see the pride she takes in maintaining a space that is not only fun but also educational for everyone who visits.
Our experience at Ash End House Children's Farm was made excellent thanks to Jenny’s efforts. If you're looking for a day filled with joy, laughter, and learning, I highly recommend visiting and meeting her. She is a gem in the farming community, and her passion makes this farm a must-visit destination!
Thank you, Jenny, for all that...
Read moreWe went to a birthday party for my daughter's classmate. Starting in the play barn and then moving over to the farm itself for a tour, some animal handling and finally lunch in the barns.
Getting here was ok but I used the satnav on my car which took me past the Belfry, through a bunch of narrow country lanes and told me I had arrived when I reached a T junction on another narrow country lane! I had to choose left or right with no clues to guide me, so I picked right , drove for a minute or 2 and suddenly it was on my right. Signage wasn't great and could have been easily missed. Speaking to other parents though, many got directly to the gate using Google maps on their phone and dint experience the meandering country lane drive I had so probably best to use that going forward!
The playbarn is fantastic! A huge soft play area with loads for the kids. Quite difficult for an adult to navigate in parts though is my only criticism. My daughter is 4 and can get a bit overwhelmed in big play areas and sometimes needs a few escorted runs through to get the confidence to do it all herself and this one was no exception! It's a minor criticism though as it's obviously not intended for me!!! There is an outside area with a crazy golf course and an electric go-kart track where the carts are actually free. Usually these things require additional payment but not here which was nice. The kids had great fun riding around in pairs with their friends.
The cafe here is also very nice and serves a good selection of hot drinks. The coffee was particularly appreciated at 9am on a Saturday...
Read moreI used to come here when my children were little and we always enjoyed a full day with plenty to occupy them. So last week I decided to bring my grandsons Twins age 6 and a 12 year old. It cost £50 to get in, and you got one bucket of animal feed included. This was not value for money at all and won't be returning. The chicken experience, where you get to hold a baby chicken and a information talk about them. This was very rushed, leaving my younger 2 struggling to take in any information. The whole event lasted 13 minutes and the lady who was doing this event looked totally disinterested and didn't engage with the children. Onto the birds of prey. 2 birds were bought out and an information talk started. They were not allowed to have them on their arm and no bird's were flown around. Again not really much interaction and the boys lost interest. Then on to the tractor ride. Sat in a trailer being pulled around the open space with lots of pens, but most pens were empty. Just basically riding through empty fields. We then spent the afternoon outside in the park, which was finally a hit with the younger ones. There was sit on tractors and diggers,a sandpit with tractors and diggers. This they enjoyed.hence one star. One word of advice, take your own food and drinks. They charge ridiculous amounts. Well overpriced. So families, save your money and go to smaller farm's where it will cost far less and be able to have some...
