Harthill Butchers — Local services in Rotherham

This review is based on their thick tomato pork sausages only. Have yet to eat their pies (in freezer) or fillet steak. The sausages I was sold were quite gritty with a rusky texture. I felt the proportion of meat was a bit low, but the tomato taste was great.

After visiting many more times, I can review other products.

Their bacon is incomparable... so tasty, in fact, the king of bacon. Likewise, their pork pies, steak pies, and chicken & mushroom pies 🥧

The shop also sells ready-made meals to cook at home. Chinese and curry dishes amongst many choices.

The shop is very clean and obviously very professionally run. Highly recommended... just wish the guys there smiled more... 😃 Brusk northerners... lovely...

My husband has been coming here for a while now, we always buy our usual meat chicken, mince, bacon and ham/turkey for sandwiches. We bought some burgers in the summer and they are unreal, had everyone asking where they were from as they weren't grisly or fatty at all. Last weekend my hubby came home with a giant rib of beef. It was absolutely stunning, and the price was great too. all the guys that work there are dead friendly and helpful too. Thank you...

Not great TBH. Name sounds great! Craft Butchers! Dropped in today for 4 sirloin steaks as a quick tea, 2 were ok, the other 2 full of gristle and frankly inedible £40+ For a “craft butcher” your spread should be top notch and know more from where it came from, not just “Elliotts is where we get our beef from” There are so many great butchers around.. welbeck, Bowring’s, lawns, , ev slack & sons, , cusworth… you need to up your game We...
