A great cycle track. Early morning is best as the track is also popular with dog walkers , runners and hikers. Several swan pairs with cygnets on the canal. Deer sometimes on track too. Lots of other wildlife to view or photograph. Always a friendly place. Everyone says hello and smiles. Car parks along the route if you want to travel further. Picnic tables here and there for rest stops. Recommended. A great day out.

Lovely day out fishing along the canal, pity about the rubbish and fishing tackle thrown into the canal! Managed to catch myself 2 nice pike tho! 🐟🐟

Fuming ..on path today with my 2 dogs (1is 11other 5month puppy) both were off lead but walking calmly along grass verge when a cyclist came up behind us he did ring his bell when he was 5ft away but this startled my puppy who darted to other side of path i outstretched my arms to catch her but his front wheel was already under my right arm which was inches away from her obviously words were said but his attitude was that my dogs should be under control and nothing to do with the fact that he and many other use this as their own pesonal race track..what are we as the foot walkers supposed to do have eyes in the back of our heads or constantly turn round every 3 seconds...

I enjoy cycling. I cycled from Cumbernauld to Glasgow...when I got to "lambhill" - beautiful place 🤣. The canal wasnt accessible, therefore I had to follow the roads into city centre. Make sure you have some acceleration in the legs as these parts look and seem rough.

Conversely, travelling to Falkirk is an excellent route and I'll travel to Edinburgh one of the days. But for cyclists it's a brilliant canal route. NCR 754 I believe its called on...

Lovely place to go for a walk or cycle, even just to find a quiet spot to have a sandwich on a nice day. Just be aware though you are required to bring your own sandwich, I mean if someone opened a little coffee shop or sandwich bar on the path at the side it would be a gold mine.. come one Elon do I have to spell it out for you, enough with space and electric cars, a little snack bar on the banks of the forth and Clyde canal is where the...
