Peters Bakery Ltd. — Restaurant in Scotland

I was working in the area and looked online to find a bakers to get a hot pie. After reading reviews I reckoned I'd drive out here. I asked for a hot pie and was told it was £1.55 by woman at counter then her pal at other side put the pie in a small paper bag. I walked over and picked up the pie from the other woman and went back to the till. I handed this woman a 2 pound coin and she said there's your 25p change. Confused I asked why I was being done by 20p as I should have got 45p back. I was then told not to argue or the police will be called, I said I'm not arguing I just want my change, was then told to leave shop. Disgusted by this blatant con, I thought about reporting them to the cops but I figured there was no witnesses and only my word against the two pals. Sitting in the car I opened the bag with the pie which turned out to be a scotch pie, the pastry was raw and doughy and filling was a bit too runny so I had to bin it after one bite. When I arrived at work I told the client what had happened and he wasn't surprised and said his friend had worked there. I travel all over for work,often finding local bakers and this is the first time in over 30yrs I've encountered this. I go for a coronation Chicken salad roll everyday. The staff are very friendly& helpful. A taxi picks me up every Fri&while I'm collecting my prescription the driver goes to this bakers. His words "I love that bakers, they're pies and cakes are absolutely banging. So he tries to get the hire as often as possible. So don't just take my word for it. Went for the first time today. Nice friendly staff, excellent selection of baked goods. I got rolls, potato scones, Scotch Pies and pineapple tarts. The rolls were excellent, super fresh and a perfect accompaniment to the potato scones. The pastry on the scotch pies was golden crisp and light, and the filling a nice balance of meat and seasoning.
