Spielplatz — Local services in St Albans

Saturday the 6th September 2025, was my first ever visit to Spielplatz, and my first ever visit to a naturist resort. I have to say, that not just the staff, but their patrons made me most welcome. The grounds are clean and tidy, with all grass areas well tended. At heart, I have been a naturist all my life, and I found the transition from clothed, to naked, in a public environment, much easier than I expected. I will most definitely be returning next year, as their season is fast approaching it's end. My advice to all, is that if you have not tried it, give it a go. Hands down, 5 stars.Lovely place, lovely people. All decent, professional approach at the reception, a decent nudist place, clean toilets, shower. Everybody minds their own business, if you want to talk or if you need guidance to move around for snacks or toilets, people are friendly and helpful, if you don't want to talk and just enjoy silence while tanning, that's fine again. A lovely Nudist colony that has been on this site for more than half a century+. You'll be made to feel welcome and at ease. Since the M25 was opened nearby more than 25 years ago it's a little noisier and not as tranquil as it once was but the social side and the swimming pool will keep you active.
