Beautiful reservoir, but so disappointed our lovely dogs (who are both well-behaved and under responsible control at all times) had to remain on leash (unless in the relatively small dog walk field) and worse, couldn't even be allowed in the water??? Their holiday too, so wish we'd been able to get a signal and read the reviews before we got there and we wouldn't have wasted our time (and fuel). Cycling around the lake is also popular, as is dog walking. A small but popular café sits next to the activity centre. We sampled some excellent, but not inexpensive, coffee and cake. The screen had £2.50 displayed, but as I was paying by contactless, it went to £5 and no other choice. A sign did say free WiFi near the cafe, but that didn't work either.
