Beautiful reservoir, but so disappointed our lovely dogs (who are both well-behaved and under responsible control at all times) had to remain on leash (unless in the relatively small dog walk field) and worse, couldn't even be allowed in the water??? Their holiday too, so wish we'd been able to get a signal and read the reviews before we got there and we wouldn't have wasted our time (and fuel). So, if you have a dog/s and your dog enjoys a decent run and a paddle, it's not the place for you... if you prefer having your dog leashed up, or haven't got dogs, it would be great, and could easily get 5 stars; but not the...

Even on a dull day the walk around Siblyback Lake is a pleasant stroll. The path around the northern end of the lake is prone to being a little muddy so wear sensible footwear. Cycling around the lake is also popular, as is dog walking. A small but popular café sits next to the activity centre. We sampled some excellent, but not inexpensive, coffee and cake. Access to the lake is down a couple of miles of narrow road with passing places. Car parking is on site and outside, both the same price (2 hours for £2.50, all...

Parking is plenty but at a price. I couldn't get any good signal to pay by app, so I went for the contactless payment. The screen had £2.50 displayed, but as I was paying by contactless, it went to £5 and no other choice. A sign did say free WiFi near the cafe, but that didn't work either. We decided to stop for a while and had two coffees and two bags of chips, £10.60 😲🤨. I guess that's because you have no other choice as nothing else is around. But, saying this, the views of the reservoir and walks...
