We met up with family at Trethorne Leisure Park this week, in Launceston. The indoor play area is massive! Here's a few thoughts on our experience: 1 - Don't be concerned if you can't see the entrance to the building, it was raining when we arrived and we couldn't see any entrance signs from the car park. 2 - I didn't think it was cheap and the prices have increased for half term. However, I do think it's worth it, especially on a rainy day. We had a good time, and you could spend the entire day there...or at least until your children are suitably tired. If the weather is nicer there's outdoor play areas too. 3 - don't forget to keep your receipt - at the moment you get 3 months free entry once you've paid. 4 - the included half term activity is a magician "Zig Zag" who was good fun, and a welcome "sit down" break for my son. The younger children especially seemed to love the magic show. 5 - I've no idea what the food was like in there - we took a packed lunch to save time and money on the day. 6 - face painting over half term was an extra cost Hopefully we get a bit of sunshine now ā˜€ļø If not, I guess we just chuck on wellies and waterproofs and get on with it. Enjoy the rest of half term #cornwall #kernow #lovecornwall #cornwallwithkids #trethorneleisurepark #halfterm #activitiesforkids

Trethorne Leisure Park is a fantastic destination for a family day out, especially if you have energetic kids who love a variety of activities. The park offers a wide range of attractions, including a huge soft play area, large slides, outdoor karting, pedalos, climbing areas, mini golf, and a delightful petting farm. With so much to do, you can be sure that your kids will be thoroughly entertained and exhausted by the end of the day. During our most recent visit, we did encounter an unfortunate power cut that cut our day short, but despite this, we've had several enjoyable visits in the past. The park has consistently provided a fun experience that keeps us coming back. That said, there are a couple of areas where Trethorne could improve. The park does feel somewhat understaffed, making it difficult at times to find help when needed. This shortage of staff also affects some of the attractions, like the dodgems, which only operate once every hour—something that can be a bit frustrating if your kids are eager to hop on for a ride. Overall, while there are a few minor drawbacks, Trethorne Leisure Park still offers plenty to keep the whole family occupied and is well worth a visit for a fun-filled day out.

Great place for tots, teenagers and older folks. So much to do including 10 pin Bowling and Dogem Cars. Nicely stocked bar and restaurant selling basic meals.

Read to the bottom!! Bought return tickets for my 2 children and myself. When we booked to go back the tickets were out of date by 2 weeks. They last only 3 months. Girl at till was very sarcastic and kept saying "sorry we are very strict with end dates, you will have to pay full price". Asked for the manager and she said there wasn't one, it was only her. Went away and called Trathorne only to be put through to her again. Pleeded with her for some give. She said she would call the manager. When I went back to the desk one of her colleagues was watching and rolling her eyes. She said she called the manager and they said to do a return price which I said fine too. Bear in mind the return plus the tickets I had already bought came to about £10 over what I could have paid on the day! As I was meeting other people I just had to let it go. When I got in to some of the group had been given free Dodgem tickets and some hadn't, and guess what.. muggins who paid the most didn't get any!! We have had 5 kids parties here, arra get to meet groups ( we arrange) 3 to 5 times a year and I feel a little kindness would have been nice. I am afraid I am offended by the way I was treated and will think twice about a return as tbh it is expensive for what it is and they should be greatful for your custom. Emailed my feelings and with no response in 3 days I find myself writing this review with bad feelings growing! Where are the managers and the people who want you to come back??? Next issue.... Daughter was sick the night after closely followed by me in the early hours. Found out later that 13 out of 14 people we went with an mother groups that were there went down with the same bug. One of our group ended up in hospital for 2 days. Called and asked for the manager and a guy called Chris said no you can't but you can speak to me but said he had no real tittle. Explained that there seems to be an issue with Hygiene and he just got defensive. Explained about the other issues and he didn't really care....

Let's start with the positives, the place is amazing and there are loads of different things for kids of various ages to do. Sadly the whole establishment is let down by the attitude of their staff!

Having taken our kids during the day time and seeing how much they enjoyed the leisure park we decided to pay £250 for 2 hours after their closing time to host one of our children's bday party. When we spoke to them over the phone the staff member mentioned we can come anytime after 5pm to set things up and the place will be available for our children and their friends from 6 to.8pm. However, as soon as we got there we realised the left hand in the establishment had no idea what the right hand was saying as the front office member refused to let us in at 5.20 saying we are not allowed to go in until 6pm. When we mentioned it was actually authorised by a staff member she huffed and made a phone call and then reluctantly let us in before saying "we have warned them many times but they keep giving people the wrong information". Once in we were also expressly told not to let our children play until 6 pm as the staff will be cleaning. At 5.30 all the cleaning was done but we respected their wishes and waited until 6 pm to let the kids play. 3 of our guests were spoken rudely because they tried coming in at 5.55pm and adults were treated like school kids by the front office staff. To make matters worse at 6p.m she locked the front door so the rest of the guests were waiting outside for 10 minutes before coming in through the restaurant door. If the higher management does read reviews please train your front door staff and may be get better ones with good customer skills. You have a great establishment that's being let down by some of your staff and you will lose alot of custom...

When you arrive and see outdoors tbh I was alittle underwhelmed - looking through an adults eyes a lick of paint is needed and some of the areas were coned off due to wear and tear. Perhaps more a seasonal issue than a long term problem. However the children didn't seem to notice this and saw space to run. There are multiple activities for play from pedal boats to crazy golf. The animal petting was a big hit with all of the children.

However when we headed inside the barn I was taken back by how big and great the inside space was! From the outside it doesn't look like much but inside the barn it is MASSIVE and very impressive! From trampolines, climbing walls, soft plays, ball pits...We were literally chasing the kids about trying to keep up with them on each activity. Theres stuff for grown ups to get involved in play with your children. I think all of the parents in our group spent most the day reliving lost youths! There's space inside to eat and buy a coffee/slice of cake when your worn out! The price of admission gave you free access to all activities with one free go on the dodgems on the way out in the amusement arcade.

The food in the main restaurant is very child friendly, the restaurant is also very child friendly. Staff are a really attentive and informative on food allergies. Very helpful and friendly staff!

In the end I was very impressed. We were there all day and finished the day with our free ride on the dodgems. This is a great place to tire out kids(and parents)! We spent the entire day there.

We went a friday in August on a predicted rainy day as a large group of children and adults. There was so much space it didn't feel over crowded, but I advise to...
