I visited today for the first time with my friend and had a nice walk around. We could hear lots of bird chatter, but the wildlife stayed well hidden. Some parts are easy to stroll along but I struggle in some places as I walk with a walking stick & found parts quite challenging. I'd definitely go back again.

It's a car park. You can park your car there! No novelty value in that except..... You can then walk in the fabulous surroundings of Deep Hayes reservoirs. Enjoy the wildlife, birds and watch the fish take flies off the water. Much more than this, you can walk along the canal to either The Hollybush Inn (Fabulous in any language) or in the opposite direction to Cheddleton; where you have the choice of either The Red Lion (food and then beer) or The Black Lion (beer and then food) pubs. Each glorious in their own way. Or you could walk a few hundred metres further on to The Boat Inn where food and drink share top billing! You could even walk along the railway line, before it is reinstated for use by trains to Leek. Now you are really spoilt for choice! Maybe you should visit more than once? I visit here...

There is a large enough car park to accommodate a number of cars. In the car park there are toilets. From the car park you can explore Deep Hayes country park. There are a number of walks around the country park. Dogs are allowed in the country park and in certain places they need to be kept on a lead. The only problem is that there are no dog bins for dog waste...
