Love this place, it's so peaceful, with it's unusual plants, meadows, tree lined paths and it's wildlife are all great to see while walking around. Located just between Endon and Leek, slightly off the A53 on the outskirts of The Potteries, this charming spot covering a couple of hundred acres can be found. It's carpark is free to use which is a bonus, also there is a visitor center and toilets - but both the centre and toilets are only open at set times, so worth keeping in mind. Now there are only three pools left as a reminder, from this once mass of water that covered the area, but full of fish that you can see sometimes feeding at the surface. Over the years I've visited here with children, walked dogs, been as a couple and even been on my own just get my head clear lol. A hidden gem of a place and recommend a visit if you've never been before, but I think there's only been a couple of times over the years that I didn't get muddy, so take good footware if...
