Hazel Grove Golf Club — Local services in Stockport

I’ve enjoyed many, many fabulous nights out at Hazel Grove Golf Club, the caterers, Andy Beeley Catering (ABC) are probably the best in the area. Andy, Martin and their team are professionals in their field. Their success is due to meticulous planning and execution. They make sure every detail is cared for, especially when it comes to special dietary requirements/personal preferences. Their exceptional organisation enables them to handle any event super efficiently. HGGC is a fabulous golf club in every respect; the course, the staff and their fabulous events. Not many can put on celebrations like this club can!! However, I’m very disappointed to hear the caterers will be leaving later this year after 24 years of very loyal service. I have been fortunate enough to have worked with ABC and witnessed their loyalty alongside the fabulous reputation they’ve built up and it’s been a privilege to watch them grow from strength to strength. I played at Hazel Grove in a seniors open 31/7/25 and I cannot say how impressed I was.The organisation really was 5 star, from arriving at the course, volunteers were on hand to find parking spaces, the clubhouse is spotless and in house catering excellent, served in a timely manner and nothing was too much trouble. The event itself was seamless, from registration to having a starter on hand to make sure tee times where adhered too, not something you get at every event. After playing the 8th hole we were met by two wonderful ladies who took our orders for complimentary coffee and cake, this was ready and waiting after playing the 9th hole so no delay incurred regarding the pace of play. Finally the course was in great condition, I was really impressed with the greens( very tricky ) but the overall presentation of bunkers/fairways superb. If you haven’t been before it’s well...

Well, what can I say. First time I've ever played here and quite frankly that was the most enjoyable round of golf I've had in a long time. Course was in great condition and a lovely walk. A few nice tricky holes and pin positions which was a great challenge but very playable. The female pro was very friendly and helpful (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name). I also had a chat with some of the members before tee off who were friendly and one in particular very helpful and had a great chat (Peter). I can't recommend this club enough and when it comes time to join a club when I move up here permanently this is definately the first one I'd be looking at. Thank you...
