Great nature park, nice walk (if the weather is good) The Mersey Vale Nature Park is a great walk for you or the whole family. I regularly visit with my wife and son who enjoys the freedom to roam free! There are no spots to buy food or drink some come equipped. There are numerous spots to break off the nature path and have a picnic. I would not the path and particularly walk along the river mersey are far more enjoyable when the sun is shining. However do not discount to visit and enjoy both the river Mersey which you can follow back out of this area to its birth in the centre of Stockport where the river Goyt and Tame merge, industrial heritage from the railway lines which crisscrossed this area, You can create circular walks, walk out a short way and find cafes, pubs etc. In the main the paths are good and in my opinion worth a little research to have several enjoyable hours...
