A Magical Experience at Twitey's I recently had the pleasure of staying at Twitey's Tipis and I must say, it was an absolutely enchanting experience! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality.
The tipis themselves are beautifully designed and exude a rustic charm that instantly transports you to a different world. The attention to detail in each tipi is remarkable, with cozy bedding, comfortable seating areas, and even charming little decor pieces that add to the overall ambiance.
What truly sets Twitey's Tipis apart is their dedication to creating a unique and unforgettable experience. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that guests have everything they need, from providing firewood for the evening campfire to offering helpful suggestions for nearby activities and attractions.
One of the highlights of my stay was the mesmerizing starry nights. The secluded location of Twitey's Tipis allows for a breathtaking view of the night sky, making it perfect for stargazing and reconnecting with nature. It was truly magical!
Another aspect that impressed me was the cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities. Despite being situated in the heart of nature, the tipis and common areas were impeccably clean and well-maintained. The shared bathroom facilities were also kept in excellent condition, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches such as eco-friendly toiletries.
Twitey's Tipis also offers various activities to keep guests entertained, including guided nature walks, outdoor games, and even the option to rent bicycles to explore the surrounding area. There is never a dull moment here, and the staff's enthusiasm and creativity truly shine through in all the activities they organize.
Lastly, I must commend the delicious food served at Twitey's Tipis. Whether it was the scrumptious breakfast baskets or the mouthwatering BBQ dinners, every meal was a delight for the taste buds. The use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients added an extra layer of authenticity to the dining experience.
In conclusion, my stay at Twitey's Tipis was nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of friendly staff, picturesque surroundings, and unique accommodations made it an unforgettable experience. Read moreStayed here a year ago and realised I never wrote a review!
I really loved this campsite. It has such a lovely, peaceful and chilled vibe. We got an oversized pitch with a group of friends, and the pitch was huge. Very large and generous with the space and the flat grass pitch accommodated 7 of us nicely, with 3 tents, a gazebo and fire pit included. I'm looking to re-book with just myself and my partner but trying a few other sites first, will return some day but get a standard grass pitch instead.
I did have to wait for the showers mid-day both times, but the camp site was busy and the wait wasn't excessively long. There was 4 women's showers but some were locked so I assume they were out of order. The shower was nice once inside, kind of like a portable shower? Was warm and had a little private space outside where you could put your clothes/get dressed. The facilities were clean and I never had to queue for the toilet so happy there, and there was washing up facilities and fridges/freezes to keep items cool too.
The shop was nicely stocked, bought a few ice creams there and staff were very friendly and polite. The site was fairly quiet, but I think because the pitches are so far away from each other that even if our neighbours made noise we wouldn't really be able to hear them. Very chilled, relaxed vibes and so, so peaceful.
We parked in the car park and there were wheelbarrows available to help carry our items to the pitch. I do wish the price of the car park wasn't so expensive (£7 per day), it does put you off if you want to stay a longer time, and I don't know another site that charges you for having a car, but I understand the car park was quite small so I get wanting to reduce numbers there.
I would come back...
Read moreOur one-night stay at Twitey's Campsite was amazing. I've never encountered such a well-thought-out campsite. The tent pitches are fantastic, surrounded by high grass that provides a wonderful sense of privacy. The picturesque surroundings further enhance the experience, making it a serene and beautiful place to stay.
The on-site shop is incredibly convenient, offering a wide range of items including food, coffee, ice cream, toiletries, camping accessories, and firewood. This means you don’t have to worry about running out of essentials during your stay.
The wash house and communal space are exceptionally well-equipped. They have fridges, freezers, sinks, dish soap, washers, detergent, toiletries, and even games. This thoughtful provision ensures you have everything you need for a comfortable stay, whether short or extended.
At Twitey's Campsite is the availability of wheelbarrows to transport your camping equipment to your tent pitch. This was a first for me and a very practical addition that made setting up much easier.
Another great aspect is its proximity to Stratford-upon-Avon, just a 15-minute drive away, allowing for easy access to the historic town.
The only downside was the showers, which have no lights and are very dark. This can be quite inconvenient, especially in the evenings.
Overall, Twitey's Campsite offers a fantastic, well-equipped, and peaceful camping experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a beautiful and thoughtfully designed campsite near...
