I’m a regular at Wellesbourne and have been for many years. The cafe is sadly a shadow of other airfield cafes these days. A shame as they have had to fight to keep it going but most recent visit I found the service to be miserable and the food, particularly the cheap catering sausages to be wanting. I really like their chips. And that’s where the two stars are given. I’d say swap out the sausages for more bacon which is a bit better but you can’t do that. Most cafes are flexible. A bit stricter here. This is tough because I like Wellesbourne Airfield and I want people to visit and I guess others won’t mind the sausages but me and my mate did not enjoy our food at all. The cafe at Blackbushe use local butcher sausages and it’s a massive difference but it wasn’t more expensive. Just a few tweaks and it would be a different review but the dreary service and food keeps this as a two star review for...

First time visit to this place, so popped in whilst in the area. The cafe is located next to Wellsbourne airfield Hence the name. The car park is free and all tarmac so no issues with parking our motorbikes. The cafe does a range of food but we only stopped for a cuppa cha. But the prices seemed reasonable and from what I could tell the food looked nice. The server behind the counter didn't seem very friendly or welcoming, no please and thank you and the place overall seemed to have an air of not being friendly ( maybe just me but that's the feeling I got on the day, I won't be rushing back that's for sure and hence the 3 stars ) There is plenty of seating inside ( no screens between tables and quite difficult to maintain social Distance ) But there is an outside seating area tables where you can watch the panes lad / take off / taxi. Toilets on site which are free...

Sorry Touchdown Cafe, bit of a bumpy ride and poor take off and landing. Probably the worst cup of tea ever experienced. Dull tepid dishwater disguised as tea and coffee not much better, took a load of sugar to half drink it. Just buy a pg tea bag and jar of kenco coffee and will improve immediately. Hot dog is poor frankfurter and burger seemed to be tinned burger. Chips were good portion size but oil could be cleaner. The cafe is on a great position and 2 stars for location and not much else. Would not return sorry touchdown and thankfully health inspector not down when a few cafe staff, took a few breaks to puff fans by the doorway. This is my experience and my own opinion on the day we visited. Friendly clients and quite a few smaller planes...
