I visited the Museum of Army Chaplaincy at Amport House in Amport, Hampshire and I really enjoyed it. It is a small museum but well worth a visit. It highlights the role of faith in the Army as well as the bravery of the Chaplains, some of whom have been awarded the Victoria Cross medal for their bravery. I was particularly interested in the role of the Jewish Chaplains in the Army. And also the role of Roman Catholic Chaplains within the Army. It has a computer interactive display with a touch screen which is worth looking at. If you want to visit the Museum of Army Chaplaincy and are travelling from a long way away and need to stay somewhere nearby I would recommend staying at the Travelodge in Andover which is situated right next to the British Army Headquarters in Andover. You can walk from the Travelodge in Andover to the Museum of Army Chaplaincy at Amport and it is a lovely walk. If you drive it is a 5 minute drive. Please remember that if you want to visit the Museum of Army Chaplaincy: You need to book a visit in advance. Contact details are on the website. You need photographic ID as well to enter the Museum like a driving licence or a passport. I would recommend a visit to the Museum of Army...
