National Trust once well respected but now has irronically become a woke anti British political organisation intent on erroding British/ Welsh culture and run privilaged clueless people intent on exploring others with no care to fund it's now device ideology! Once free parking with sufficient facilities that were open early now restricted open accessI i do get a small charge to cover running costs, although these new rubbish facilities don't have hand washing facilities in the toilets, which are literally just a hole, but this is way overpriced to try and persuade you to subscribe to them to help fund its political interventions, No ability to use a cash card! Cash really is King! Make sure you have plenty of change, as there is no reception to pay by phone!! This will prevent some less well off from enjoying natural beauty and getting out in our countryside! The best things in life should be free for all, but not if the national trust can make a profit and get their grubby hands on...

Pen y Fan is a wonderfully accessible and not too difficult a walk with a lovely circular route starting from the Storey Arms. The car park and toilets have been improved in recent years by the National Trust, though this does mean there is a parking charge. Being the Brecon Beacons the weather can rapidly change for the worse, the attached photos are the best I've ever seen the weather there. So it's wise to be prepared and definitely wear...

The Brecon Beacons in wales, National trust has Good facilities which includes a carpark, toilets and tourist information point.

The walk itself is quite an easy walk for the experienced hiker, but not for a beginner so be prepared for a steep incline like most mountains tend to be

Expect rapidly changing weather situations so make sure to bring a coat for a misty day in September.

Overall one of the more...

A good place to park to climb Pen-y-Fan. It’s national trust to free parking if you’re a member otherwise pay at the machines. Toilets here and lots of space in the car park. When I visited in May 2023 they were in the process of expanding the car park further. Folks also park out on the sides of the road all the way along the stretch of road but I expect that’ll be outlawed soon.
