Great park for walking, jogging, pushing a stroller and especially for dogs of all breeds and sizes playing and socialising with each other. If you are the owner of a young dog in training, this is priceless, especially as most play nicely and without being noisy, except for excited barking on arrival. Owners get to chat and walk together, in much less mud than on the Forest. Nice wooden walkway to avoid the mud, from one end to the other. Water loving dogs like mine have a brook and a pond to potter about in. Picnic tables await families for the warm season. "Kissing gates" allow for wheelchairs even. Bins for dog mess at both ends of the park. Young trees have been planted. Just outside the park there is a children's playground. On the downside, hardly any parking, to the despair of the locals. Big car park will ne built alongside the newly developing estate, bit it will take many months, so park a bit further...

Absolutely love this beautiful place, our dachshund is so happy freely trotting along the boardwalk here and occasionally being bolder to venture onto grassy areas. We enjoy the people we meet, the dogs we have met and the overall experience of Walshes park. There is one very sad thing here though, no one empties the dog poop bins 😞 As we are responsible dog owners we pick up after our dog. Today alas, the bins were brimming full, so full that dog poop bags were left on the ground in front of them. This is not good, a public place with small children? This is unhygienic and I have not mentioned dog poop bags seen on the walk left hanging in bushes. If anyone from Wealden DC reads this, PLEASE EMPTY THE DOG POO BINS! It...

Great place for a walk just out of town. Lots of different routes to walk round and things to spot along the way. Didn't expect to find the site of an ancient house from the 13th century! A great Surprise and fascinating to read about as we walked around it. Free water is available which became very useful when certain people I Was walking with forgot their water bottles lol 😅 Only thing that could make it better though is that it's not very well signposted and as a result not many people know about it, only found out through Google maps it existed. Great day out with the...

Excellent park, great for dog walking but be aware that there is only a small temporary car park at the moment. There is ongoing construction of the wooden walkway but this doesn't impact the marked paths too much. The layout is very good, and as the trees mature the more formal path and seating areas will be really special. Even if you don't have a dog the views over the downs are worth a visit alone.

Excellent park, play area and woodland walk with free parking. Large area of both woodland and open fields with raised paths to keep you out of the mud plus ground level paths if it's dry. Very dog friendly. Also has large play area with multiple equipment and picnic tables and as it's spread over such a wide area doesn't get too busy. Well worth a visit.
