Chagford Swimming Pool — Local services in West Devon

LOVE LOVE LOVE🥰.

Staying in Dartmoor for 2 days and simply had to visit this amazing local run Lido, after reading about it in DevonLife mag on site. It's awesome - toddler pool plus a super clean, well kept main pool with varying depth. Saw at least 3 Supervising local Local lifeguards in attendance and it puts the big pools to shame with their outdoor seating, benches and sunshades provided! Has school type changing rooms with seating and toilets, all super clean. Outside shower is solar heated and good for quick after warm-up. If you need refreshments the lady running the pool is happy to serve a varied selection and is super welcoming and warm.

Well worth supporting this local pool and driving a good 30mins...

Renting this pool may have been the best decision we made recently. We had rented a nearby property and chose one without a pool as it is a little dangerous with the kids but Chagford had 2 lifeguards and has an amazing shallow end plus a paddling pool so everyone felt safe. The adults and older kids all had space to swim as the pool is so big and anyone who didn't want to come in had ample space to sit and relax from the sides. We brought inflatables with us and everyone had a wonderful time. If we'd known in advance how good it would be we'd probably have booked it for a second...

What more could you ask for .... Sparkling warm water (which comes from the river and has the lowest chlorine levels I have ever experienced in a pool, plus they have heating now so its a balmy 24deg most day) Decking to lounge around on in the sun as you drink a cuppa or nibble on a home cooked (naughty but healthy!) delight from the new 'Snack Shack'. It has a lovely atmosphere with toddlers learning to swim in the shallows whilst others plough up and down the main area, or just bob contentedly in the sun. I will be...
