On June 15, 2020 Emilio was literally our guardian angel while on an emergency road trip home to be with my mom right after my dad died. We had a tire blowout (sidewall punctured rendering tire useless) 30 miles north of Waco, TX and with the pandemic, having 3 pets in the car, and the late time of day, roadside assistance was unable to help. After 3 hours of calling around, we found Emilio who had the exact tire we needed and brought it to us in addition to completing the replacement. On top of his excellent service, he charged a very fair rate (we tipped him 30% as he saved us from sleeping on the road side until the morning...we were literally in the middle of nowhere with no options). I learned a lot from this experience. Always read the fine print of what roadside assistance will/can/cannot provide during a pandemic, go with regular vs run flat tires, carry a full sized spare even though many cars no longer come outfitted with one, and, most importantly, there are still good people out there. Emilio and his crew were so awesome! To start off we were stranded about 1,000 miles away from home and this was already our second trip toTexas, to come get the truck because the transmission went out and we trusted another shop, not Emilio’s, to replace the transmission in San Antonio. Well we got about 4 hours outside of San Antonio and long story short the truck started making noises and shutting off on us and we realized it had no transmission fluid. So after a few hours of frustration, we finally found Emilio’s Tire and Auto Shop. They got us in and helped us out as soon as they could. Emilio’s son even showed us exactly what was wrong with the truck and what needed to be done to be driveable again. They even drove us to our hotel that evening when they closed and then came and picked us up in the truck when it was done the next day! They were very nice, told us what was going on and what all was needed and did it, professional, friendly, kind and just all around awesome!! I cannot thank him enough for his kindness and expertise. While we were driving through Dallas to San Antonio, we had some minor issue, not a serious mechanical failure but an annoying situation (a side window failed once it was rolled down).

I had to drive the window halfway rolled down till Waco (the next town where a Ford dealer is located). It was going to be a loud and noisy drive, but this man (Emilio?) was so nice that he stopped his current work and spent 30 minutes or so for us. Of course, he was able to fix the problem with a minimal charge. ($20). I would have paid $250 for the problem at a Ford dealer.

Besides saving the money, Emilio saved me from the pain of driving with loud wind noise for the next 30 minutes.
