Went to this shop to have my AC looked into due to the AC pushing out hot air instead of cold sometimes. I scheduled the initial appointment in April and unfortunately had to reschedule 2x and went in on May 2nd. While there the business was very busy and said that they did not know when they would be able to look at my car even with the appointment. Stayed there for almost 2 hours and was told that there was something wrong with my radiator and a couple other things and until they could fully fix it they put a quick patch job to temporarily fix the radiator. I was told that they would write a email to me to detail what exactly needed fix, when, and how much it would cost. I did not receive that email and had to have my belt replaced. While driving to Montesano my radiator hose popped off the fixing completely ruining my cooling system and the radiator and found JB welding on the radiator hose (the patch). I had a mobile mechanic check the vehicle and put in a new radiator (I have receipts) confirm the JB welding on my hose and unfortunately was not able to get the car to run and had to tow it. The mobile mechanic thankfully came back two days later to verify that they did their job correctly and they confirmed as well as confirming that my head gasket blew as well as my cooling system needed repairs. I am having Andy's tow my vehicle back to they're yard tomorrow however this experience was review worthy and cause me a lot of money as well as my vehicle. I'm hoping this can be corrected
*Edit: now because they full understand that another mechanic touched my vehicle to get me off the side of the road due to clear negligence on the fix of my radiator they are unable to correct a mistake. Worst experience with a mechanic by far and disgusting that the blame was then turned to me without looking at the vehicle. I would suggest any other mechanic that holds their reputation with...
Read moreI moved here from out of state recently, was widowed within a year, and I own a German made car. There really is nowhere to get this car serviced anywhere within 100 miles, so I took it to a local place just for an oil change. A few days later I noticed oil all over the garage floor. I told a neighbor and she said the same thing happened to her after she took her car to the same place I had gone to, and told me don’t go back. She gave me Andy‘s name and address and said take it there. It was a busy Friday afternoon, and I couldn’t get them on the phone, and I really was fearful that something was wrong. I drove over to Andy’s shop and explained the situation. To my surprise, they actually took it right in to look at it. Tim came out a few minutes later and wanted to explain what he thought was wrong. He escorted me back into the bay to show me. He explained it and gave me his opinion of what the problem was. He even took photos for me to show to the shop that change the oil.I’m very aware of how fortunate I was to find a human being with this kind of empathy. I don’t know anyone here, and I have not had good experiences with any of the trades in Aberdeen. Tim gives humankind a good name. I am very grateful for the time he spent solving a problem for me, and for which he did not even charge me for time. Finding an honest business is difficult in the best of circumstances. To find one that is run by a genuinely nice person and honest without question is a rarity. I was so profoundly moved by his kindness that I am selling my car and buying an American brand vehicle that Tim and his staff can take care of. They have a new customer for life. Thank you, Tim...
