This store is steroid-aggressive (read: overtly harassing) about theft prevention. Granted, it's in Aberdeen -- and when you've lived around filth too long you can't understand anything else. But the aggressiveness in the self check-out line is beyond anything I've experienced at other retail stores -- particularly that low-end gem Darla. But let's cut to the chase and acknowledge how things work in this country: I am a medical doctor with 2.5 million in real estate holdings on the peninsula who spent nearly 150k at Home Depot over the past 3 years (new home build, did a bunch myself to avoid feeding people who vote against my interests). I will not tolerate being treated like that -- truthfully, no one should but I have the resources to demand different treatment. Here is my solution -- for myself and for everyone else out there. Refuse to use the self-check-out. When did we allow ourselves to go from being serviced to performing uncompensated work -- and being treated like criminals for it? Overwhelm the cashiers so they have to reopen regular check out lines. Not only do you end the harassment (hard to be accused of theft if the employee scanned you out), but you get the satisfaction of making these people work for your money. An additional benefit is that you leave the self check out lines to the actual shop lifters (who do exist) so they can be more easily caught -- which would have the benefit of lowering prices for everyone. Win, Win, Win -- and maybe even a win for Home Depot, in that they might regain some respect instead of the disdain many of us hold for them right now. Let's all be honest -- this store is only shopped because there is no viable competition in the area. When I worked retail (in my teens and 20's -- because it's not supposed to be a career), I would have been fired for half of what these employees do now. This store would wither away in a year if a Lowe's opened -- but that will never happen because Lowes caters to a middle class clientele which does not exist in Aberdeen. As for some of these reviews -- apply a tincture of critical thinking. So many are fake! Do you really believe anyone would describe THIS store as "beautiful." It's dank, cramped, and only stocked with lower end items. I mean, if you're going to scrub your reviews, Home Depot, try being less obvious.

Found what I was looking for. I went in for some motion lights. Found them and was really happy with the service in the lighting department. I then went to the plant department on my was to check out and decided to get a succulent. One of which is on thus display in a tall blue container. Then when I get to the check out they said that now they needed to charge me for the pot. They were separate. Set up o. The display like they were together, but unbeknownst to me and I'm sure others, they were separate. 6.98 each. I only purchased the plant I wanted. The pot was Def not worth 6.98 to me. The cashier even went to show me several times by pulling out the plant from the small pot several times and repeating that they were separate in price. I just thought it was something odd and almost false advertisement as the entire display has all of the different succulents in white and blue pots, as if they came in them but they don't. FYI...

We ordered wood delivered but only received about a 2/3rds of it Almost a year ago we we paid $100 to have someone give us an estimate on a cabinet. The person who showed up scammed us out of $2500 We never got a cabinet. There is always a reason he didn't show up, now we have been ghosted. I didn't realize they used independent contractors. I'm posting a picture of his businesses card

Disappointed and frustrated with customer service. We planned on purchasing the finishings and alike for our new build home from this store but that may have changed today. Here is the story... We have bought most of our appliances and hardware supplies from Home Depot in Spokane and Aberdeen Washington in the past and the service has been excellent. That all changed today when I received a very direct phone call from Dena F. from the Aberdeen Home Depot special order department. We had ordered a specialty French Door at the Aberdeen location for our new home build and the employees we worked with were excellent. They understood that we live in Spokane, our builder is in Spokane and with this our timeline for our build is constantly evolving. We were told that we could pick up the door any time after it arrives and it would be no problem to delay the pickup until our builder was available. We ordered the door on August 7th, and we were told it would arrive about August 26th. We didn't hear back from them and contacted them repeatedly prior to leaving the area on September 7th but the door had still not arrived. On September 11th I contacted the automated line and found out the door had arrived. On September 13th I was finally contacted via phone to let me know that the door was there. I received a phone call from Dena F. this afternoon asking when I would pick up the door. I explained the situation and let her know that we were told there was no specific timeline for us to pick up our order. She began to speak to me in a demeaning manner and told me I must pick the door up 30 days from its arrival, and it would need to be retrieved by October 5th, or it was going to be sent back to the vendor. I suggested that I was not even contacted about the door, that the order arrived until September 13th and I would need to speak with my contractor to coordinate a pickup date, and I would reach out to him today and hopefully he would be able to make the timeline. After speaking to him, he suggested that there is a slim possibility that he could pick it up before October 5th but not likely. We agreed that if he could not pick it up at that time, my wife and I would rent a truck and pick it up when we are over next time. My wife called Dena F. and attempted to work with her on this delivery. Dena F. became more resistant and several times very rude. We were told that she would put the notes in but if corporate did not honor this date, the door (which we have already paid for) would be returned to the vendor. The customer service was absolutely terrible from her and lacked any sort of consideration of our situation. We have never had this type of experience at this store (or any other customer service driven store) and at this point the several thousands of dollars we had planned to spend at this Home Depot may go to another vendor. We hope to resolve this in the next coming weeks with Home Depot management that values customer service without losing out on the door we have purchased. I will update this review based on...

We ordered over 2,000. Dollars of product. It is Sunday. Quiet day at depot. We wanted to check our cement blocks to see if they were finally comming there . Scheduled to deliver tomorrow. David the manager was called after we were told to get the he'll out from the back of the store. We have picked up things there. This small minded guy in the back, was on the fork lift and told u to get the he'll out of there. I said ok little man . Rude an I was mad. We talked to the David manager. Told him there were no signs to keep out in back. We r now not going to our home store again. We will go to olympia wa. 45 miles away. Also products at Elma Bayview. The David boss was so rude as well. He wanted us to be lectured about how sorry he was. I asked him to check our order. He never asked to make sure that the size of 14 pallets were and the arrival time. I told him to. He would not let me explain about the situation. Oh I'm 71 tomorrow and I will have a better day then. Also plan to spend my money out of a town that is good to us. We also run a business but the right way. To add to this journey. My birthday took my sadness away from the male disrespect I got from the boss David and that employee .The next day we got a delivery, late but that was ok I still got to my party on time. But....the big blocks were delivered but the wrong color!!!Omg, we were told we would have to go into store and start over. Paper work,pmt.ect. They were gray not black that were special ordered. We got 2 pallets out of 14. The independent driver, great guy ,went all the way back and picked up 12 more. Always review your order sheet. I still. Made it to my birthday party on time. Then Like I said our business runs with a high rating. Will the manager retaliate and write us a bad review? Jus my opinion 🤷 I'll let you know the rest of the story. Adding to this story. We r still shopping there. As long as we avoid those rude people we will be strong. I miss miss miss the beautiful manager that was there before. She went to olympia. We get alot from her...
