Let's get real. You compare yourself to the pinnacle, so let's do it. Your seats are uncomfortable. The popcorn is stale. Your prices are only like 50 cents less. And you have the nerve to charge a convenience fee to use a debit/credit card(which makes your prices higher). I'll drive to bristol just on principle of the convenience charge. No one carries $50 around anymore. Besides its a more comfortable seat and they have bigger screens.

Edit since you wanted to reply. Yes you updated your seats after the pinnacle opened with their recliners. Yet yours are substandard. Once you recline they push your neck forward. I'm not the only one who will say it. And in regards to them being overstuffed please. You have approximately an inch of padding in the seat.

Now, lets talk about the popcorn. Walk in on a Monday or Wednesday. That stuff has been sitting in the case for hours. I've had fresher at rural king for free.

And if you want to talk about advancement in technology in your state of the art location, let's talk about how your projectors are always misaligned. Part of the projection ends up on the wall. I've actually mentioned this to your employees and they just shrug as I walked out. And they don't care. Not to mention your "arcade". I wanted to try your vr Rollercoaster once with my wife. Just once. Purchased a new non refundable game card. Waited on an employee to come over. They had me and the wife pay. Then come to find out one of the headsets were broken. Did I mention nonrefundable. Didn't want to ride it alone. Wanted to ride with my wife.

Your establishment and buissnes plan is a joke. As I and several others have said. I'll drive to bristol.

Edit 4/4/25. And now your early tickets are 1.45 higher than the pinnacle, yet you still advertise as cheaper. That's legal false...

I've been coming here on and off for many years, and here's my thoughts.

PROS

The staff is super friendly and they seem to care about their customers and community which is great! They have the comfiest seating! The staff will help you with any problem you bring up to them. If it can be fixed they'll fix it! The facility is always clean If you have children, a large arcade is available to them

CONS

The building is a bit dated, and occasionally you'll get a slight mildew smell in some of the theatre rooms The popcorn can be a bit stale, but other snacks seem fine! The screens/sound system have occasionally been a little faulty sometimes causing the audio and screen to be slightly out of sync, or sometimes static during loud parts of the movie (staff will attend to it if you ask it just can be unfortunate if you're already halfway through a movie when it happens) The audio for some movies is a touch too loud. For quieter movies it's just fine but for action packed, loud movies it sometimes is just a bit too much. I think this has to do with what is required by the producers of the movies being shown and is not necessarily staff decision based since it seems to vary a lot depending on the movie. Did request for it to be turned down once and staff accommodated as always.

Overall still enjoyable to watch movies here but can be slightly inconvenient if there is a problem with your movie watching experience and you have to ask...

Dear Abingdon Cinemall, I have a bone to pick with you. My mom takes her grand babies out to see Stitch tonight and gets asked to leave because my kid and my niece were too excited about a kids movie. Then you have the audacity to tell my mom that you all have “family friendly movies on Saturdays” that she can bring them to. If thats the case then you should have to show current movies as well as older movies. While you all reimbursed my mom for the tickets, I can guarantee you that you have lost some long standing customers. My family made it a point to support you all through COVID because we didn’t want to lose the one thing we actually enjoyed in this area. It’s a shame that you had to make them leave without a warning. THEY ARE 2 AND 3 SO SHAME ON YOU!! I am not one to bash other businesses but I can guarantee you that you pissed off the wrong mama bear! And to whoever made the complaint, shame on you!! I hope you NEVER have kids who are excited about something just for someone to mess it up...
