Hi Lo Grocery — Local services in Abingdon

Super friendly employees and the last of the family owned small grocery stores in the area. The only descent meat department in Abingdon or Galesburg (even better than the now corporate owned Thrushwood Farms). Fair prices and a surprisingly good selection for a small store. This is also the only place in the Galesburg area to get good (fresh) produce. They will carry your groceries to your car as well. There is always somebody to greet you when you walk in and never a long line. I hope they never go out...

I visit the store in Abingdon and they are super friendly there. Yes the prices might be a little higher than say Walmart but but you don't have to wait in line forever and you get friendly service! Also ,I don't like the big stores because I have a hard time getting around. Every time I go there I get checked out right away. Well worth the little extra you have to pay and plus your supporting a small home...

I love this place. It's a family business with strong ties to the community. The service is great. The meat department is excellent- like the old butcher shop.
