The Home Depot — Local services in Absecon

Update 5/1/21 Here now to purchase shelves and we have no clue what to buy. We just came with a video of one we have at my in-laws to show someone to assists us. Well, the help was amazing. We walked to the 2nd aisle and there 3 employees there. We asked Jordan and he told us one moment and asked Joe. Joe took us to a section that had what we thought we needed. We ended up seeing something else that looked easier. After Joe took us there we went back to the initial aisle and asked about that item. Joe then asked Anthony(supervisor), who then assisted us. He helped us measure and figure out the right wood we needed. We asked if we can bid for a discount and he said yes. He told us to go to the desk with Kevin who helped us bid on the item since we are pro members. Kevin had some assistance form the Manager of the garden club which was so nice. In the end we bid and did get a discount and was very happy since we were buying so many of that one item. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ANYTHING AND NEED A HOME-DEPOT TO GO TO, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE. THEY ARE HELPFUL, FRIENDLY, AND GO ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR CUSTOMERS. THE STAFF IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I F#%KING LOVE THIS HOME DEPOT AND WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER 😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰! My wife and I went to home depot on a Saturday to pickup drywall to close up the shower pipe access area in 2 different bathrooms. Fred the manager helped me find the 8'x4' sheet of fireproof drywall I wanted. i went to get it cut but was told that the wall saw was not working. I thought I would have to try and bring the whole 8' 4' sheet home. The problem was an 8' x 4' sheet would not fit in my jeep. Earlier I had bought a drywall saw and a yard stick so my plan was to take it out to the parking lot and hand saw the drywall to a size that would fit in my car.

When I told the manager my plan he and several great Home Depot employees came to my aid; they were Fred the Manager , Raja who with Thomas hand cut the drywall for me and Imran who offered to load the cut drywall onto a lumber cart and take it out to load it into my jeep. I have never been to a Home Depot where we were give such red carpet service. These employees deserve special recognition for their excellence in service as well as their friendly attitude and dedication to customer satisfaction. They truly were all outstanding examples of what Jim Collins refers to about companies with excellent customer service in his book "Good to Great". This book talks about companies that became great companies because of the dedication to their core values and excellent customer service. I can appreciate that you have changed your policy on returning gas generators to 7 days, however I specifically asked what the return policy was while checking the ryobi generator out of the store less than 30 days ago. I was assured by the cashier in Absecon NJ, at the customer service desk, I had 30 days. There are also no signs up telling the customer of the change in policy. You would think at least the employees would be informed. I tried to return an unopened, unboxed, ryobi with a receipt tonight within the "30 day return" time I was told. The employee proceeded to process it as a return as usual and got stopped by the computer. So she also wasn't aware of the 7 day policy. A manager was called, he opened the box to see if it was used. I assure you, I didn't unbox it, didn't test it, it wasn't used at all, but the tank does smell of gas. Anyway, he wouldn't take it back and now I am now stuck with a generator and out over $600.00. I bought it for a just in case, nor-easter scenario, and ended up not needing it. Of course the tank smells like gas. I looked up how ryobi tests their equipment. They have to put gas in it to rigorously test it before sending it out to sell. The manager is as ill informed as his staff. I will be paying off my credit card and that is the last dime this company will ever get from me. I will also be recommending our property management group do business with more informed and customer service oriented home...
